How good are shoe companies at matching pair weight?

Well lets check out this fresh pair of Asics Court FF 2:

Right shoe 15.36 ounces while the left is 15.54 ounces; in your experience is this a good match or would you add a little lead to the right or trim some cushion off the left?

Nike is not much better look at this atrocity in the Nike Vapor Pro:

13.54 Ounces left and 13.28 ounces right. A greater percentage of difference than even the sloppy ASICS.

Thoughts?

Interesting comparison. I am a bit surprised and at the same time not that surprised. Considering that at the end of the day, those shoes are put together by humans, and they are made by so many different components, the weight difference is to be expected.

I did this as sort of a joke because if you have ever done a body scan your legs are gonna weigh different; along with your arms but that is more obvious.
obviously we're going to need lead tape on (in?) your legs to even things out too

Maybe we should push TW to offer a matching service for shoes to make sure weights and lengths are as close to specs as possible. I can't be expected to have my right leg overcome all that extra weight over the course of a match. It'll be dragging like Quasimodo by the end of a 3 setter.

LOL, matching shoe weight, now I've heard it all. ;)
Could this be the creation of a new business for "elite athletes"!!
