How is sliding with the New Nike Cage 4

I am curious about how sliding on hardcourt is with the Nike Cage 4s since I am a big slider and currently use the Ubersonics but need something wider. That will still let me slide.

Slide is pretty responsive on the Cage 4 if you know how to do it properly. It's not like the Vapor X where you'll sometimes slide when you don't want to...that's probably more due to the plastic shank than the outsole, but it still slides too much for me, usually. New Cage is more like a Gel Resolution or Court FF2 with a little stickier grip. Slides when I want and sticks when I want. Stable as all get out, so no worries about rolling an ankle for me.

Okay thank you I’m looking forward to playing in them.
It took me a bit to get comfortable with my movement, but sliding is great, better than the ZZ for sure. Seems like the upper will hold up well to medial-side toe dragging too. I think the Vapors are the best in the Nike family for sliding, due to minimal cushioning and the hard sole.

I had a great time playing in the Cage 4s last night were very nice to slide in. Super stable and had enough give where I could get to any ball but stop on a dime if I needed to. After 2 hours of play no wear really as well so all good things about this shoe so far!

I felt that the Cage 4s were wider but that is just me.
Maybe, but I can cinch the cage 4 down better at the very least. Maybe it’s that the Uber 3 lacing doesn’t secure my foot well enough inside the shoe. I don’t have a pair to compare, but the cage 4 hugs my foot where the Uber 3 did not. That’s probably a more accurate answer.
