How is the Montreal Court Speed?

I havn't had a chance to watch any matches yet. I know Toronto is brutally slow but does Montreal look like it is playing any faster? Is it at all comparable to Cinci's speed?

On tennis.com the reports are that they are quick. I watched a bit of the Tsonga match and he did serve quick, but apart from feeling they were faster than the AO I really couldn't tell.

They seem a bit faster than Toronto to me, but quite slower than Cincy. The serves seem to penetrate the court much easier in Montreal. I'd say it's somewhere between Toronto and Cincy, a bit closer to Toronto though.

Fast, I play there all the time. And FYI, they tend to mirror the speed of the courts at the USO.

So I guess the courts were really really slow for the first set of the Nadal-Dodig match.

What was slow the first set were Dodig's feet, hell he was getting aced by 110 mph serves, someone must have lit a fire under his ass after that, he started to move and dive around the court like a wild man.

I'm willing to bet that Nadal serving in the 30'-40's percentage wise for sets 2 and 3 did that. :)

And even so, he was up in sets 2 and 3, with a break in each one.

Toronto is known as being slow while Montreal is medium, same as Cincy and USO.

Except I think they use different balls at the USO.

Seemed pretty fast to me. Fish was hitting winners nicely. And Dodig was hitting winners that Nadal couldnt even come close to putting his racquet on.

Jason Goodall said that the courts are quicker than last year, but then clarified saying that they are not quick compared to the rest of the tour.
