okay everyone i Am making another fun thread, lets make it interesting

okay How long have you had your racquet that is your main stick, and what racquet is it and how many do you have of this racquet, and would you ever change.

the main idea of this thread is to see how many people actually stick to the same racquet like the pros, and also how long racquets last and does the racquet still play great.

Many people change racquets more than anything and a lot of people even me always think its the racquet fault, but its not its our fault,so constant racquet changing is not good. Practice is the most important thing.

Tour 10 MP - gen 1. Got them about a year ago, playing them as mains for about 8 months.
I have 3 in rotation...and they are tough to find.
Yes, I would change if I think the new racket gives me some advantages without significant drawbacks.

Note. If the MSpeed Pro 1's would hit the same kind of ball for me with the same kind of effort (or lack thereof) as the Tour 10's I would switch in a heartbeat, since the control and touch/feel of that racket is tough to beat for me. As it is, I'm favoring the superior ball heaviness of the Tour 10 while sacrificing a bit of touch/feel/control (for me) when compared to the Fischers.
End rant :D

I used to be loyal to one frame for 7 years, the Pro Staff Classic 6.1 95. Then arm problems surfaced and I've been on the hunt until recently...and went to a frame just as old as the 6.1. The Pro Tour 630 and Prestige Classic 600.

HoVa, people do sell the PT280 from time to time, have you checked the thread lately to see if anyone was selling?

Definitely loyal. To ALL of THEM.

Unlike girlfriend and wife, I am allowed to have multiple and LOVE them all EQUALLY or NOT! None of them will complain if i dont take them out, and they are all subjected to my tempers without COMPLAINTS and I dont have to care how they feel!

That being said, I have 3 nBlades, 1 POGOS, 1 Head Agssi OS, 1 Warrior TT OS. I play them all regularly, switching around whenever I feel bored. When the price comes to be right, I will add PD 107 cortex to the collection.

ive been using the nsix-one 95 16x18 for the past 4 years. i dont see myself switching until i run out of them. since they discontinued them, it'll be hard for me to find more.

My current racquet the Donnay Pro 1 Int'l has been with me for about 4/5 months now. I agree completely that changing racquets all the time is very detrimental for one's game. It all comes down to finding the one and only and then be loyal to it.

The first year I played I switched around trying to find the racquet that would make me play better. Once I realized that racquets don't make that much of a difference, i stuck with one racquet. It is 99% the player not the racquet that determines outcomes especially on the recreational level (4.5 and below). I have stayed with the same racquet for 3 years (Volkl Cat7). These have been out of production for awhile so I will have to switch eventually.

I usually have wound-up switching every year. Always for a good reason, however.

I switched from thee Hyper Hammer 5.3mp to the n6.1 95 for a less powerful, more control oriented racquet. I went a bit overboard when switching to the n90 a year+ after that. The only time I have made a lot of switches was when I was using Yonex I was out of tennis for several months due to health, and could not hit for more than a few minutes with the n90 at a time. So I switched to the RDX 500. Beautiful racquet--to a point. It has terrible directional control. So I switched to the RDS 001. My playing style then changed and I needed a larger racquet head more better margin for error. That was when I wet for the RDS 002 TOUR. It hurt my wrist badly, and I was still terribly weak. So at this point I though screw it, and I got the PDR+. It gave me the power and margin for error I needed. Now I'm fully back at full streangth , and have been for a few months. I started using a K95X demo with great results. I've finally got my own and strung up with PHT@57 adn will hit today. I'm not one for "The Holy Grail" I just waat a good racquet I can partner up with for a while.

So, usually a year at minimum.

Usually I change it about every year. I got my Microgel Prestige this April and i think I'm gonna keep it for a while. I'm quite loyal to HEAD though since I'm playing with these sticks more than 14 years....

I used POG OS for 15 yrs.. still have them.. keeping them for my son :).

I have now switched to PK copper ace. I love it so I will probably use it for the next 15 yrs :)

I've been in the Head Radical world for 12 years. I've demoed the flexpoint and microgel, there is nothing obvious about either that would compel me to trade in the LM Radical MP.

Although I like how some non-Head racquets play, they don't have a Head handle, so, I can't even think of playing with them.
