Plasma I haven't hit with the Golden Dyno since the 80s...my Dad mostly used the GD and I used the blue and yellow one. If I recall, the Golden was a little more flexible than the original Graphite Dyno.
I'd love to string up the TXE, but the grommet strip broke and they're impossible to find. It's in great shape, barely used.
I may have one of the Ultra's strung and take it out for a hit - those things are pretty hefty. would be interesting to see how they compare to modern Pro Staffs.
I have an 81 (heat graphite tour, a silver edge clone) I'm not using but promised the grommets to a buddy, sorry. The txe was brilliant. It wasn't that much stiffer than the edge, but it muted vibration a lot better. Also when you start to crank balls with the edge you get alot of play but also a metallic feeling and tourque. Despite the knight rider digital late 80's graphics the txp played like a stealth bomber: no noise, no torque...silent, deadly....I miss my txe's, the difference between refined filaments, and the pre-processed crap out there today.
