How many clay court specialists....??

even delpo said his olympic bronze meant more to him than his USO slam. tsitsipas said he'd rather win olympic gold than a slam. Djoker cried after losing his chance for a medal.....
I know, I literally mentioned Djokovic crying when he lost to Delpo before. Not sure what your point is there.

i got some bad news for you. berretini wouldn't make the semis of anything resembling clay. nor would anderson who was in the finals of wimby last year. anderson, howerver did make the finals of USO and Wimbledon.....
Two things:

1) Matteo JUST won Budapest19, on clay, before playing RG19.
2) Besides how USO continues to slow down, did you see Anderson's 2017 path?

Dont turn this into a nadal v federer thing.

Admit the WTF format sucks and it should be a straight knockout event with top 16 and played on a different surface every three years rotationally i.e grass clay and hard...and always outdoors!
what cracks me up is after the US open ended last year i remember the espn announcers saying we will see you next year when the season kicks off in australia. everything after us open is going thru the motions. season is over when the slams are done.

Admit that not having the WTF is a big hole on Nadal's legacy and it's not an exho as you claim. The 8 best players in the world battling it out for the title is huge and having never won it in 8 attempts is huge.

Well now you're just showing that you truly don't know care much about tennis. Are you going to leave this forum after Sunday since tennis is finished for the year apparently?

Yup. It isn't a massive hole in his resume. most non tennis fans have never heard of the world tour finals. i like the laver cup more than the WTF.
Most non tennis fans haven't heard of any event that isn't a slam or the Olympics so by that logic should we say that Nadal's Monte Carlo titles are nothing since a random on the street wouldn't know?

Your rational is insanely stupid. Having never won a tournament against the worlds best and only the worlds best is a hole in a resume.

And of course you like the Laver Cup, Nadal's won it so you can feel ok about it's validity. It's also B03 and you can also win it by losing a match but hey, weren't they the complaints about the WTF? Lol.

disagree. a specialist means thats the only thing he excels at. he is clay court cheat code and all court specialist.....
Take a tradition "clay court specialist," someone probably ranked in the top one hundred tennis players in the world and tell them that they doesn't excel at tennis on hard courts.

It's all relative.

8/14 = 57%. You might need to update your definition of nothing or go back to school and study maths if 57% is nothing.
dude you are reaching. hard. 57% isn't making much of an effort to be in it. he's attended every masters 1000 more than 57% of the time if it were a mandatory. keep in mind they aren't mandatory at this point in his career.

8 times is not nothing, right? And he hasn't won it in 8 attempts, right?

Is that correct?

Clay court specialist is the wrong word.

Rafa is an ATG on grass and hard, but on clay he's not only the GOAT but his dominance is so staggering that most of his records will probably never be beaten, which is not something you can say for anything Federer or Djokovic have achieved.

He's phoned in many of the times he did go. Just like fed did before the final with djoker when he pulled out with a "back injury".

Also this is played on a surface that isn't even in any of the slams. indoor hard is tailor made for fed/djoker and it's nadals worst surface. If the event were rotated every 3-4 years and played outdoors rafa would have multiples.

you fed fans can talk them up all you want but anytime stats/career achievements are shown before matches they don't show WTF victories. i can count on one hand the number of times i've seen it mentioned and I watch a lot of tennis. They show slams/masters 1000s and occasionally talk about olympic gold.

it's trash. a round robin even that is best of 3. lmao.

only reason he has 0 is he doesn't care that much and it's always been on indoor hard. rotate surfaces and venues and he would win....
Rotate the surface of the FO while you're at it

Rafa has withdrawn half the time and will again this year if he wins USO. Its a meaningless event...u can lose yet win lol.
Of course you’d say this, resident troll. By default, every single football league must be “meaningless” along with the champions league and World Cup.

At the WTF almost only big names can win, because big names are almost the whole field there. At the Olympics the big names AND an additional field are there. The winner doesn’t matter if the big guys are in the draw.

Let’s look at the Olympics:

Barcelona 1992: Rosset winning, but Courier, Sampras, Ivanisevic, Becker, Chang, Stich, Muster, Bruguera etc. present. That’s like the whole elite minus Agassi.

Athens 2004: Massu winning, but Federer (almost unbeatable that days), Roddick, Moya, Henman, Ferrero, Nalbandian, Safin etc. present.

It’s not the fault of the winner if the whole elite is there but doesn’t take the Gold. Only in 1988, at the first modern edition, the field was mediocre. After that, almost anyone wanted the Gold, with some strange exceptions like Sampras who only participated in Barcelona on clay, but not in 2 hardcourt editions after that.

And looking at the names, even at the WTF there were some midcard winners. But again, not their fault of course.

When in soccer is it required to win every match to win the champions league then or domestic league?

once every 4 years vs every year at the WTF. very few can claim olympic gold. Depending on where it falls in your career you might have 1-2 chances at your elite level to win gold. At best 3-4 realistic chances to win gold. ATP world tour final exho is every year and doesn't really mean much.

Indoors i think Federer has a winning record against everyone...only place he does.
Losing record against Djokovic after 2015? or something. If you're talking before super grandpa age, then you should be right (I think).
