How many different racquets in your bag?

Joey

Rookie
2 x Head LM Prestige Mid
Fischer Pro No One
Yonex RD Ti-80
Yonex RDX 500 Mid
Prince O3 Tour
Volkl C10 Pro

I know switching between frames is obviously not ideal but anyone out there like to use a different frame from time to time?

I have a buncha different racquets in my closet but I only use my O3 Tours right now.. I could look cool and bring like 6+ racquets.. however I think my strokes will make me look cool enough.

Two. My old 5g and my brand spankin new nPro98. If I continue to love the nPro I'll probably get another and lose the 5g, but since I'm not a big string breaker it's not on my imperative list.

4 n6.1's, one NXG mp, one 300G (selling), and soon to have one Tour 10 VE mp. I don't really plan to use the NXG or T10 in any matches (or probably even practice, as I will be training in college), but they are sweet frames that I would like to have.

It was one, the Diablo Mid. Now, it's two, Vantage and Diablo Mid... occasionally more, depending on whether or not anybody is in need of a restringing =D

I have two PS 85's, one Yonex RD-7, and one Yonex SRD Tour 90 in my bag right now. I'll probably take the Yonex racquets out and put a couple more PS 85's in my bag.

Just AeroPros in my bag, but I have a LM Radical MP and a PD+ at home (selling the PD+). I normally sell racquets after I get new ones.

i have my Sting SC, PS 6.0 85, and i also carry a jack kramer prostaff woodie (i sometimes practice with it if im bored)

A ps tour 90 and a yonex rdx 500 mid. looking for semi tweener for days when i feel like a power baseliner or when game is completely off.

2 dunlop 200GMW's and two 200G hot melts. MW's have 17 gauge string at 65#, the HM's have 16 gauge strung at 63#. Depending on how I, If I am playing a big hitter, it's the MW, a pusher, The Hm's..

What condition is that yonex RD-7 in? I've got a spare PS 6.0 85, a bit beat up but i'd be willing to trade :)

I've got a few in my bag...
4x Laver Type S's
1x PS 6.0 85 (i'm painting another)
1x Prince Michael Chang orig MP @ 27.5"
1x Babolat VS Control
2x woodies just for hitting around with.

I used to have some woodies. don't know where they went though. if i didn't post yet, 1 yonex rdx 500 mid and 1 pro staff tour 90.

I carry four PT 280s, leaving 3 at home. I string two in gut hybrids and two in petroleum products, for summer humidity and clay courts. In the winter, its all gut hybrids.

right now, 3 pure controls, 2 ncode 90, 1 ncode 95 18x20, 1 prestige classic, 1 lm prestige mp, 1 6.1 classic and one 6.0 85 original. soon to be added, another 6.1 classic strung with gut and a 6.0 95 original

5 total racquets, 2 Wilsons, 2 Heads and 1 Yonex. I have played singles matches where I used a different racquet each set and STILL won. That's just what it took. Somedays I can play great with one, other the others work like a charm. Wish I could figure out one and stick with it.

5 PD+, 1 Head Liquidmetal Prestige MP, 1 Head Prestige Classic Mid, 3 Slazenger X1s, Head i.Prestige Mid, Aeropro Drive Standard. I make sure to fill up that 12 pack bag!

Cant tell, I cant carry all of them. Mainly use nCode 61 Tour and LMP mid, but damn... the grip shape difference.

That's just insane!

Do you guys actually use all of these racquets? I mean, you can only hit with one at a time!.....I can understand having, say, 3 of the same racquet in your bag but, unless you're a pro or something like it, why would you need more than that? Why for that matter, would you have a bunch of totally different, but expensive (top of the range within a brand) frames in your bag. Surely you wouldn't want to hit with all of them very often? Am I missing something here?

I'll assume that you mainly use your PD+'s, but what is your main backup racquet?

Well, up until recently I had 4 TT Warrior mp racquets in my bag. Since they all managed to crack in the space of 10 days Im back to my old 'collectable/keepsake' frames (POG OS, Prince Graphite Comp Series 110, Prince Classic, Prince Precision Mono and Head Prestige Pro) plus an unwanted LM Prestige mid, none of which I had wanted to use for competition.

Bora,

if you're unsure which to stick with then I would suggest choosing the lightest one with the lowest swingweight and making that your primary frame. When you feel extra strong lead it up, when you're feeling a bit sluggish rip all the lead off.

I have enough PD+'s to not really worry about a backup. On the days that I can't seem to move/bend my knees and am hitting all the balls long with the PD+ (this isn't too often because I play very seriously but sometimes after little to no sleep or a day of teaching on the court), I tend to pull out the Prestige Classic. The i.Prestige mid is a backup for the PC (I don't break strings too often in the 18x20 pattern, and I thought the LM Prestige MP may be my go to racket between the PC/i.Prestige Mid and the PD+ (a good mix of the PD power, though not nearly as powerful but more so than the PC and I.P with the 98 headsize, and the PC/i.P mid control. I started to serve and volley exclusively and wanted to try the Slazenger X1's and had great results serving and volleying but could not get used to it from the baseline. The APD is like a backup to the PD+s, but I never need it because I am breaking strings; rather, I use it when I am missing by inches because I find the standard length is a little less powerful. All in all, the PD+ rackets are my primary weapons and the other ones are solely for fun.

3 is the BARE minimum for a tourney, Rodger. In a long day, you may snap 3 sets of strings. I use three. and perhaps one may use three in a "mood" sort of collection (ie. one really low string tension for super power, and one really high one for super control.)

My RD-7 is pretty beat up as well. Don't know if I'm willing to get rid of it though.

Prince Graphtech DB - a hand-me-down racquet from my brother & used during my H.S. varsity days. A sentimental choice.
Head i.Radical - bought this when I returned to playing tennis after a 7yr layoff. I use it when my arm feels like jello and when i'm in need of extra power.
Prince Original Graphite Classic - Purchased this because i was able to buy it cheap and intended to resell it but along the way I fell in love with it.
Prince Precision Michael Chang LB - Also cheap and brand new at a local tennis shop.

In the bag, 2 Prince CTS DB24s (thanks to my buddy, Steve Q), and one ProKennex Type R (thanks to my buddy, Kevin T).

That's not all, just what I carry in my bag ;).

3--a ProKennex 5g (pre-2001), I have 2, but the other is on my stringing machine at the moment

a brand new O3 Tour

a ProKennex Asymmetric 265-the most comfortable racket ever made,
