He needs to find a sport psychologist to help him to deal with the pressure in the clutch moments. Folding under the pressure is probably the hardest thing to overcome in tennis and there haven't been many examples in the past of a major head-case who significantly improved their mental strength (people usually mention Stan as an example, but I think his FH was a massive game-changer post 2012).
He served for the set both times against Ned at RG and got broken, served for the match against Alcaraz at the USO and it was the same story. Squandered a huge lead against Novak and never looked like a player ready for an upset after that second set. That's too many missed opportunities.

Nice thing is that he plays a nice power game and doesn't hesitate to rush the net, which I always support and find very refreshing in today's tennis.
False, only in the first set did he serve to win it.
In the second, he broke first but against Nadal, on clay and especially at Roland Garros, it means nothing.
:D

Sinner has the most room to grow of any of the top young players for what it’s worth. I’m still bullish on his potential especially because he actually played well at Wimpleton.

Beefing up his physicality and serve are very real actionable improvements he can make. Djokovic went from retiring mug who lost to Roddick 4 times in a row to the GOAT season by doing exactly that.

Sinner has a body of a 12 year old and started tennis seriously at 13. Hitting the gym to prevent injuries and add explosion to his game would be good.

Being 6'4 he should have at least a better serve, i'm sure there are great former pro players with huge serves that are doing nothing right now, he has a 150 million contract with Nike, i'm sure he can afford someone to work on that.
He is not that tall and his mobility should be better.
That way he won't be able to beat Alcaraz more often.

I said he served for the set at both 2020 RG and 2021 RG against Nadal, and got broken. Not in the first two sets.

If Sinner can get more of his first serves in, then he will win several. The guy cannot get first serves in

He’s often below 55% of first serves in,’including 48% vs Stan.

On the plus side, despite getting crushed 74-51 in first serve percentage to Alcarz, that much was pretty close(Alcaraz edged Sinner 74-70 in total points won).

I see Sinner improving his serves a lot to a point of winning 2-3 slams in his career. I will say 3 slam titles, despite injuries.

He changed his serving style a couple of times. With his frame slowly filling up and overall maturing we should see more linear progress.

I was surprised how close the match against the young Bull was despite that first-in percentage.

He will win more then 2-3 without a shockingly high number of bad injuries.

Not sure how Kralingen can say the bar is so low and yet Djokovic romped home at the Aus Open this year and at Wimbledon. The US Open only happened because Djokovic wouldn't get vaccinated. Nadal stomped home to win the French last year finishing it off with a bagel over Ruud. Kralingen saying they could see Ruud win a French Open when he's being bagelled in a final winning just 6 games in 3 sets? I'm not seeing where this "bar is so low and the hinges are off the doors".
Musetti hasn't made a slam QF or defeated a top 10 player at a slam.
Sinner has never made a slam SF and never defeated Nadal, Djokovic or Medvedev.
Berrettini I will give you.
Ruud literally got bagelled by Nadal and won just 6 games in 3 sets in his French Open final, not screaming confidence.
Rune? A lot has been placed on him after his epic Paris Masters run but he has not backed it up this year at all unless we count his twitter meltdowns as backing it up.
Shapovalov? I mean come on, he's lost 5 of his last 6 matches! What are you talking about?
Fritz? Just 1 slam QF to his career and has never defeated a top 10 player at a slam.

These are all bad options and bad picks.
That’s the point. Did anyone expect Thomas Johansson to ever win a Slam? But then he did.

Once Djokodal retire the level necessary to win Slams will drop significantly. The draws are incredibly easy these days. You get absolute mugs going incredibly far almost every year. And Medvedev is beatable. Alcaraz is beatable. Certainly Sinner and Tsitsipas are beatable.

It just takes one hot two weeks.

I don’t think I said any of them will win Slams this year. Nor do I think Fritz or Shapo ever will. But ultimately, it could happen because of how pathetic the upcoming era will be once Djokodal are finally sent to the grave.

You should not believe google heights. Or are you one of those who believes Alcaraz is 6'1. Lol
Of course, any data that may be wrong must be taken with a grain of salt; In any case, his mobility leaves a lot to be desired and thus he will not be able to compete against Alcaraz if he does not improve that important aspect of the game.

He needs to improve in many aspects, movement is only one if those.

He is 6'2 but he moves around like he is 6'6, he is too lanky for someone of his height. Not at all good. Plus his speed in slow as well. I like Felix who at 6'4 moves as a proper tennis player at the top level should.

He has an extraordinary talent, a lot is expected of him (monfils was expected to have extraordinary and high success due to his skills, which unfortunately did not happen)

I know such pictures are fundamentally inexact but it's unlikely he's still the 6'2" the ATP site lists him as. Bearing in mind Sinner still looks like he doesn't need to worry about losing an argument with a razor I don't think he was an early developer and grew more after 17 than the average.

Also, Sinner does just seem to be made out of limbs. It's like he has arms and legs 2-3" longer than a normal person his height and whilst he is a good athlete he's not someone I associate with having quick feet. Or quick hands for that matter.

This looks like a good comparison, Tsitsipas is legit 6'4.

Once Djokovader retires, the slams will probably be distributed among 4-5 younger players.
So maybe 2-3.

Nothing sad, our actions has on sequences, you troll others then expect to get trolled
So you guys have gone out of your way to create this “new user” to bump an old thread to target me? It’s pretty pathetic, the way you’ve dug out a 12 month old thread, and quoted me and then you and @dking68 immediately jumped straight in.

Doesn’t take an idiot to see through what you both have done, it’s really sad actually. Thought you were both decent posters but I guess not.

1- stop making false accusation, we didn't create the new users, nor we know him .

2- To bumb a thread you don't need to make a new user account

3- it wasn't sad when you laughed at Sinner?

@dking68 posted literally 1 minute after the new user and you came about 30 minutes later. Spare me the “playing dumb” card. It’s frankly sad, I respected you both but this is so cringe. Also funny you say him, you know the gender of the new person? :) I guess you would if you created them.

Goodbye.
