How many more slams is Djokovic going to win?

I think he wins one more, that being Wimbledon this year.

Sinner and Alcaraz are soon taking over plus Medvedev is still around for the HC ones and maybe Zverev can break his slam curse (and Rune eventually join the big table).

At his age, it will be hard for him to beat two of those guys back to back.

1 at best.

I think he might get one more Wimbledon and that’s it.

25 would be nice to finish on. That said it wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t win again either. The younger players have caught up to him.

1 to 4 more, for a total of 25-28.

Before the AO 2024, I though he'd win 30+. Now, with Sinner as serious competition, Alcaraz potentially improving, and Novak's decissive age decline exhibited in the AO, I think he can win 28 maximum.

Rafa will crucify Novak at Roland Garros, and Carlos owns Wimbledon, and US Open is anyone's ball game.
So ZERO.

You get demoralised very quickly. When Novak was banned for vaccination you were suddenly taking of Novak retiring, all hope lost, ending up 2nd in race etc etc

Don't lose hope so quickly. Just because Djoker lost at AO doesn't mean his slam winning days are suddenly over. Only when he goes a full 12 months without winning a slam can you say he wins 1 at best or 0, that kind of talks should only come by the end of this year, not so soon

2 or 3.
I said he will win 26 27 post AO23. And he has already won 2 in next 4. This AO is an abberation. Had he lost in five setter no one would make stories about his sudden aging.

Everytime people thought he’s done, a new era has started etc… he comes back to surprise us all.

That said, he can only do it for so long still. I think he’ll win 2-3 more.

It depends on Sinner/Alcaraz/Meddy. If these guys maintain a high level it will be very difficult for him. He doesn’t just depend on himself now. Nadal at RG could be tough if he gets back fit too.

He needs a nice draw or maybe a draw to open up to help him. I think he can get another Wimbledon if the draw is decent for him.

Nole is now caught up by Sinner. Their matches can go either way.

That's just hilarious.

So one single match makes a 5 slam difference?
Sinner has proven he can beat Djokovic on the big stage which means we’re not relying on Alcaraz reaching the F for anyone to stand a chance against him. There are threats at SF level now too. Changes things massively, unless this was yet another false dawn.

He did destroy Alcaraz and Sinner back to back at the YEC though, he needs to reach that level again which is not impossible.
Indoor and best of three sets, it is not comparable to the format of the Majors tournaments which are best of five sets and outdoors (except if they close the roof), so at his age it will be more difficult to him winning more GS.
:D

Sinners win over Novak was so dominant it's easy to think he will stop Novak from winning every where. If Carlos had also been in great form, then maybe. But there can be a lot of variables so it's too quick to switch from a 3 slam year to saying 0-2 slams for the rest of his career.

Bo3 and Bo5 is obviously different, but it's not like the cause of the defeat vs Sinner was related to that. If we see Djokovic leading 2-0 or 2-1 and losing then yeah, that's an issue to bring up.

1-2. Never thought 28+ was realistic, and still don't. 26 would be nice, but it really just depends on how good the competition is on their bad days (like in days like the Zverev QF, Alcaraz will need to find a way to extend the match and let the opponent choke like Medvedev did).

At least one. I see more, but even if his game falls off a cliff a-la Sampras, I see him coming up with that last hurrah, also a-la Sampras.
