How many Nadal Fans are there vs. fed Fans

Nadal fan or Fed fan? (you cannot pick both...thats a wimp choice).

Slowly but surely Nadal has been gaining ground in popularity. A year ago if anyone posted anything favorable about Nadal then the Fed fan majority would "seek and destroy".

Therefore i want to see if the gap has been closing. Fed fans will of course still be the majority...the question though is by how much?(Note: I have made the poll private to protect the minority of Nadal fans).

I'm not a Nadal fan, nor a Fed fan... who should I vote? The one I dislike the less? :D

I'm not voting, anyway :p

I'm a uniter, not a divider.

No vote!

I can't decide between the 2 so I didn't vote but the results seem strange as there are more Nadal fans than Federer now.

Hmmm, I'm not a fan of either, so I guess I'll vote for I like more, or dislike less, and I don't particularly like Nadals strokes, or his grunting.

See my name. Nadal's got the flare with the game. Federer just has the game.

Nadal has flare?

Flare

1. To flame up with a bright, wavering light.
2. To burst into intense, sudden flame.
3. To become suddenly angry.
4. To make a sudden angry verbal attack.
5. To expand or open outward in shape.

If that's what you think of Nadal then okay, i'm yet to see him "expand or open outward in shape" but hey, it's going to be good to see when it happens!

On the other hand you have Federer who has all the Flair in the world:

1. A natural talent or aptitude.
2. Distinctive elegance or style.

The definition of flair was probably written with Federer in mind.

great post. i totally agree.

not sure this has been pointed out already but this survey is biased bc of wording of the choices. Nadal's name is all in capital versus Fed's name in abbreviation with only the first letter capitalized.

Nothing personal. Just found Fed's game is more artistic, smooth and entertaining, rather than grinding and moaning.
He's like an artist who beats the gorillas.

I think Federer has the more refined game but it is Rafa who gets people on the edge of their seats. Watching him is like being on rollercoaster - sort of - here we go again- WOW- another magical experience!

You can be both. Yes...I root for Roger when he is playing Nadal but I want to see both of them doing well.

Fed fan. Nadal is a great player but his game is broing. Also, I don't like seeing all the butt picking or the 5 minute he takes between points.

Right! I too detest those 5 minutes and 13 seconds he take in moving his butt or tipping the ball between points. Seems as if he is playing in uncle tony's drawingroom and has the liberty to take as long as he likes.
Diclaimer: I am a fed fan.

no offense...but that why I said in the poll question "Thats a wimp choice".

Maybe I should restate that. There are things about both players I like, but there are things about both players I dislike. So I can't say I'm a true fan of either. I have to admit I was a big Nadal fan for a few months until I learned a lot more about tennis.

....why can't we be fans of both?

I guess when the two play each other I root for Nadal to win because Federer always seems to dissapoint.

Why do people care? I don't see why people argue about Fed and Nadal. I personally like both and think they're both phenomenol players. I like Fed more, but I don't see why you would like one and hate the other.

I completely don't understand how anybody can be a fan of Federer. He has an extremely boring game. Federer basically plays very similar to players like Robredo and Blake. The only difference is that Federer is way more consistent and whereas Blake hits 5 specific awesome forehand winners, Federer hits 15 of those winners in a match but the playing styles are preety much the same. Nadal on the other hand has a style that is completely different than the rest of the ATP tour. Whenever Nadal plays, the whole ground shakes and you are glued to the TV screen. Nadal has such a physical and energetic game that it makes no sense to me how somebody cannot be a fan of Nadal. Well I am guessing that somebody is a fan of Federer because they hate Sampras or they hate Nadal due to jealousy. That's the only explenation that I can think of. Sampras had a way more entertaining attacking serve and volley game compared to Federer. I don't want someone with a boring game as Federer to be known as a GOAT. I am hoping that either Nadal will become a GOAT or Sampars will remain a GOAT.

People obviously have different perceptions of the world and of tennis players too. I for one am in heaven if I can witness Fed playing his best tennis, and far away from being bored. In my life I've seen lots of tennis matches, many different players and styles, and whether you agree or not, Fed is outstanding. So is Nadal - at times, but never as elegant as the number one.

Roger Federer cosmetics???? Yeah thats just what this sport needs! Just when we fight off the stigma of being a "nancy" sport we have to now deal with Rogers very own cosmetics line??? Thanks Roger!
