The problem is, someone has to win slams over the next 3 years, and it’s not clear who will win them.

My best guess is that Med snags a couple more hardcourt slams then starts to fade. Tsitsipas and Zverev get shut out. Nadal and Djok each grab a couple more.

The rest get split by 5 or 6 other mid 20s guys whoever gets the right draw and matchup breaks.

Until finally the next great champ arrives, who is probably not over age 16 at the moment.

Djokovic and Nadal will win at least 90% of the slams over the next 3 years. The 10% they don't win will be due to injury/vaccines.

Please do. I am confident in my prediction. I do not see this Alcaraz hype coming to fruition, I think he will severely disappoint in the slams. Med, Zed and Tsitsipas are looking washed up already, it's unclear if they will ever return to a level we saw last year. And don't even get me started on Sinner and FAA lol.

What's wrong with you.

To be fair, Djokodal did just win 11 out of 12 majors between 2018 and 2021. But there's no way they will repeat that feat. That would require them to continue to get more dominant in their late 30s instead of less.

It won't happen.

Are you as confident in your prediction of Medvedev beating Ruud in the Miami finals?

You mean individually or combined ? Individually, certainly not 10 slams.

If Medvedev had made it that far, yes. Ruud has no weapons to hurt Medvedev. But he had to get past Hurkacz first and their matches are always close.

However, now we found out Medvedev was injured, something I didn't know beforehand. If I knew he was injured, I would alter my predictions.

Med - 3
Zverev - 0-1
Tsitsipas- 0-1

I think all 3 have more or less peaked. Even for the big 3 their peak level was in their early to mid 20s. It's just that their peak was so high that even performing at 60-80% of their peak has been good enough to win slams. Of course with age they modified their game and became better mentally as well.

The problem with med, zverev and tsit is that their peak level isn't that high. Alcaraz/ FAA/ Sinner etc are now able to challenge them regularly and they are still improving. Med can still win a couple of HC slams but i think the other 2 will find it tough to even win 1 slam. They had their best chances in 2020 and 2021 and they missed it.

Medvedev will win 2 more USO’s and potentially one Aus Open to put his final tally at 4.

Tsits will potentially sneak through one RG, possibly next year, but that’s all.

Zverev is never going to win a slam. He’s not potent enough at any of them to even squeak by a draw.

The script of a true terror movie.
By the way, isn’t Medzedtsitsipam a type of antidepressant drug?

Both will be regulated to 2nd tier soon with the likes of Alcaraz taking over the show let’s see if sinner and maybe FAA takes the next step as well

Tsipy never improved and took his opportunities, med is emotionally all over the place at present and won’t win a slam this year will be 27 next yr in prime but still will have to contend with the transition of djokdal to handover the torch in the vacuum their will be some opportunities

I feel there's an unusual amount of recency bias on this post- come on guys this isn't reddit. The little 3 have been awful (for their standards) in 2022. It's not over though, Norrie, Sinner and Fritz and Korda are not suddenly better. Alcaraz is the real threat ceiling-wise, and inconsistency of course will means they still lose to the aforementioned mugs. Were it not for Carlos I would say over ten combined for sure, but young Spanny could change things.

I think it's just as likely that they win zero from here on out, as them winning a handful each.

They all seem to have peaked and have each betrayed ****-poor attitudes in their own special way.

Your account. You believe they've maxed out at one, so if any of them wins a slam you ask the mods to permaban your account and if none of them win a slam by the end of next season I'll ask for the same treameant from the mods. Deal?
Nope. I'd not take such a hostile bet. I've waited 6 months just to be back here.
Any other friendly, humorous bet is fine.

It wouldnt surprise if that is it. They're a little too big for tennis IMO. Hell Med is already breaking down physically. It doesn't take long when you're 6'6 or whatever. Tstispas just seems mentally checked out. I would say 5 slams in between them.
