Sascha is 24. Will be 25 before 2022 French Open.

At this stage of his career he's clearly behind Nadal and Djokovic, but it could change soon.

His BO5 record against Top10 opponents is embarrassingly poor.
0-11
01 2016 AO R128: #2 Murray 0-3 [1-6 2-6 3-6]
02 2016 WIM R32: #9 Berdych 1-3 [3-6 4-6 6-4 1-6]
03 2017 AO R32: #9 Nadal 2-3 [6-4 3-6 7-6 3-6 2-6]
04 2017 WIM R16: #7 Raonic 2-3 [6-4 5-7 6-4 5-7 1-6]
05 2017 RG QF: #8 Thiem 0-3 [4-6 2-6 1-6]
06 2019 RG QF: #1 Djokovic 0-3 [5-7 2-6 2-6]
07 2020 AO SF: #5 Thiem 1-3 [6-3 4-6 6-7 6-7]
08 2020 USO F: #3 Thiem 2-3 [6-2 6-4 4-6 3-6 6-7]
09 2021 AO QF: #1 Djokovic 1-3 [7-6 2-6 4-6 6-7]
10 2021 RG SF: #5 Tsitsipas 2-3 [3-6 3-6 6-4 6-4 3-6]
11 2021 USO SF: #1 Djokovic 2-3 [6-4 2-6 4-6 6-4 2-6]

Has he matured enough to win the Slam finally?

Was his impressive display at 2021 ATP Finals The Zed Awakening and a sign of his breakthrough? Or rather just another false alarm?

He's good, but not better than Djokovic, Medvedev and Nadal at Slams. And they will beat him. One of the guys above at two Slams.

I think 1 or 2. I have voted 1 but I have the feeling if he wins AO, he will get even more confident and better and he could win more afterwards...
Unlike Medvedev and Tsitsipas I think he has a shot in every slams, though. Medvedev can't win RG and Tsitsipas can't win Wimbledon.
Australia - second favorite after Djokovic. Co favorite with Medvedev if Djokovic does not attend
French - top-5 favorite with Nadal Djokovic Thiem and Tsitsipas, knowing 3 of these 4 may not be 100% fit
Wimbledon - co second favorite with Berrettini, behind Djokovic.
USO - top-3 favorite, slightly behind Medvedev and Djokovic

... Unless the ATP investigation ends up badly for him and he is banned from the tour forever. I really wish his innocence will be proved and this can be put to rest for good.

This 0-11 against top-10 is very misleading for a number of reasons IMO.
2 out of 11 were in 2016, when he was 17-18 years old and he wasn't even top-30 at the time.
Since 2017, 7 out of 9 were against Djokovic, Nadal or Thiem... totally logical results. He was not favorite in any of those matches. The only one he can regret is USO 2020.
That only leaves Raonic in Wimbledon 2017 and Tsitsipas in RG 2021. Both matches were close 5 sets that could've gone both ways. And I'm not sure he was even favorite of these 2 matches. Wimbledon 2017 was his first Wimbledon as a top player, and he lost against the finalist of the former edition. Tsitsipas was the best clay player this year.

On the other hand there are many significant wins against guys playing like top-10 or better.... For instance...
- Wawrinka in Australia 2020. He was top-15 and beat Medvedev in the previous round.
- Rublev in Australia 2020, he'd just won 2 tournaments before AO and was ranked #11 or #12. Definitely worthy of a top-10.
- Sinner in USO this year was top-15 and became top-10 shortly after this tournement.
- Harris in USO beat a top-10 in straight sets and Zverev took him out in straight sets in QF...

I think he might snag one this year, he is getting closer all the time and his record is **** poor against top 10 true but Federer/Nadal are likely done on hard and he has shown he can be equal to both Medvedev and Djokovic on hard. I think RG and W are beyond him right now but a good draw and win could maybe change that. If he's playing AO then i think that is his best shot for sure, especially if a certain other player is out of arms reach of the title.

Zverev, Medvedev and Djokovic will win one each. The fourth option will be won by either Nadal, Djokovic or Medvedev.

I voted CYGS , he is winning all 4 baby and he will do it without beating a top 10 player along the way :)

Based on all those stellar top ten wins he's had at slams and the mental fortitude he's shown in the big matches.....ZERO.

Zero this year but 1-2 next.

Novak too much this year after he skips AO and with AO I think too much competition.

The other two definitely, but Sinner beats him the next time they play, I think.
Unless its a night clay match, sinner won't even win a set against zverev until he realises that he is 6'4" and should serve slightly better than Diego Schwartzman atleast

Bait? Not really. I think Sinner could make it less than easy at the AO if they play, but not sure yet if he will make it through the early rounds. If you saw him play in Miami this year, you will know why.

The good news is that he's guaranteed to not play Denis the Menace this year in the first round.

Zverev will NEVER win a slam. Not in 2022 and not even in 2023/2024.
In 2022: Novak will win 3 slams.
1 slam will be won by Titspas/Med/Nadal etc.

Zverev is getting closer though. He pushed Djoker to 5 at the USO and he pushed finalist Tsitsipas to 5 at the FO. He's seemed to have solved his issues with double-faulting lately.

I'll go out on a limb and say that he bags one this year. But he'll need to avoid Djoker. Djoker can read his serves well in a best of 5 match.

He'll need a lucky draw where Medvedev runs into a rusty Djoker in the semis, then Zverev can beat Med in the final.
