If he is healthy, he should play the AO. It will probably be the last time and he has nothing to lose there. He can play it freely, without any expectations.
Then he should play on clay only until OG. Maybe 1 or 2 in February in South America (Rio and a 250). Should definitely skip Acapulco/IW/Miami. And skip at least one of the 3 clay Masters (I'd say skip Rome). Play Monaco and either Madrid or Barcelona. I think he likes the conditions better in Barcelona... Then RG. Then skip the grass season... he has zero chance in Wimbledon. Focus on Paris (RG/OG) and rest.
See where things stand in August after the Olympics. If he wins either RG or OG (or both) he should retire after Paris, it would be the perfect ending for him. If he is still healthy and hungry, he could play his last Canada Open and his last USO. Indoors season makes no sense at this stage of his career and given his poor Indoors trackrecord. Even if he qualifies for WTF, I wouldn't bother...
I think we can all agree that playing on clay in February would be wiser than playing IW/Miami in March...

So, in a nutshell... In green = must play. In orange = bonus if healthy.
- AO
- Clay 250
- Rio
- Monaco
- Barcelona
- Roland
- Olympics

- Montreal
- USO

Winning Olympic gold in Paris would be a perfect ending for the Spanish bull but I would like to see him play until Roland Garros 2025, the year that commemorates the centenary of the French Internationals and two decades of the most representative player of that Grand Slam event.

If Nadal performs well at the RG24 & wins Tokyo Gold then he might win RG2025, otherwise if he is destroyed he might think of retiring in 24 itself like he said.

Wouldn't it be amazing if he came back and started dominating the tour again like he did 10 years ago after a 6 month layoff??? :D

Yes, but I was looking at live rankings, I believe they dropped Turin points.
It will become something like that next week.

Turin points were originally scheduled to be dropped this week (Nov 6), but the ATP adjusted it and pushed to next Monday instead (Nov 13)
Can you remind me what the difference is? Thanks.
The live rankings are unofficial and subject to change (not in Nadal's case, of course; he will drop to the 600s)

Break To Win

Semi-Pro
Rafa usually needs rhythm to reach his best level of play, so he will need to play more tournaments.

I'm going to bet on an agenda

United Cup
Australian Open
Buenos Aires
Rio Open
Indian Wells
Barcelona
Madrid
Rome
French Open
Wimbledon
Olympics
Cincinnati
US Open
Shanghai
Vienna or Basel
Paris-Bercy

There is a zero percent chance he plays that many tournaments.
