I think that such behaviour here is warranted by the clear realisation that they won't be here for long, so go full out.

There is no way such posters stay here to witness their own demise.

I mean, even the great 60s weed couldn't do it.

I don't think it's dishonest to count 2008 to 2010: 1W, 1F, 4SF, 4 QF and a 2nd round exit to Safin, it's not like he wasn't playing at all or playing badly. I could have started with his 2007 USO finalist run. At Wimb 07, he was in SF, he was even winning against Nadal even though he was injured, so yes, he was already contending at slams at that time, because he was already good before 2011, you should know it.
But it also shows sometimes you are a contender but there are other contenders that stop you, because they were better on the day or on the season, it happened then, could happen again.
I like Djokovic, i think he'll win more slams but like Sabratha, i'm more realistic about his chances than you are. 32 isn't the best age to win 7 to 10 slams. Laver won his GS at 32 and then, stopped winning slams, so even if Djokovic wins RG, he's not poised to win everything else after. You should know it too, especially after 2016-2017 happened.

Easily win half? Are you being serious? Between 2011 and 2016 he played 24 slams. He won 11 of them. That was his most dominant period and he didn't even win half of the slams he played then. It is insanely hard to keep up a high enough level to win half of the slams participated in for 4 years straight. In fact I believe only Federer has pulled it off during 2004-2007.

How easily you ignored some of the most important factor like Murray ,Wawa and even Nadal is not as good as 2013. Also, you ignored 2 years of slump due to injury and personal issues. He won last 3 slams and if he continues this form he will easily win 8 out of 16 .

The 2 year slump is pretty much irrelevant for his most dominant 4 year period. That's why I ignored it.

He has NEVER continued to keep up his form for 4 years straight. Why do you believe he will in his 30s? He has won the last 3 slams before. And he didn't keep up his form then. Why would he now?

He might do it, who knows, but it certainly wont be easily.

Let's see. I don't see anyone stopping him when he's in this form and fully motivated. He need just 2 years of 3 slams a year out of 5 to get 21 and that's not difficult you know.

When all 30+ players are playing at high level tennis now, why do you think Djokovic won't ? He just need 2 years of 3 plus slam out of 5 years window and that is not tough even if he has slump /injury for a year in that window.

Which 30+ player has been playing at "win half of slams participated in" level over a 4 year period?

Calling these accomplishments easy is actually quite an insult. I doubt Djokovic would tell you his 2011 and 2015 were easy to pull off.

Who said he needs to be in form over period of 4 years? He needs just 2 years where he can win 3 out of 4 slams.why do you think he won't have 2 brilliant year plus a good year out of 5 years?

I think he can win 1-2 Wimbledon by end of 2020 and 1 USO. Someone else will take him out there one year. Probably wins AO next year too.

Youngsters can continue to improve and his own level will drop.

Since 2014 Wimbledon onward it’s been pretty weak. Old Fed who’s proven he’s no match for Nole BO5 and washed up Nadal who only gave Nole one decent match in 2018 at Wimbledon. Aside from that his main rival has been journeyman Wawrinka.

He has a clear path but I don’t think the field will suck as badly as it has since 2015/2016 forever so I see 2019/2020 as his window before he declines further and next gen takes over.

Nole doesn’t own anyone apart from Old Fed and Murray.

2007-2012 Fed was 6-5 at slams vs 2007-2012 Djokovic.

Nadal has always owned Djokovic at slams.
 
Longevity is very hard to predict. How many slams he will win will mainly depend on how he declines, injuries, and how fast #NextGen evolves. NextGen will likely be tougher to beat than Raonic, Nishi, Goffin, Dimitrov etc. My guess is Djoko will end with 18 slams.

It's funny when a Roger fan complain about weak era Djokovic had to beat Nadal to win his last 2 slams and that's tougher than beating any player from 03-07 . Look at finalist and semifinalist that Djokovic faced to win his slams.its not even close.

Many versions of Roddick, Hewitt, Safin, Old Agassi are tougher than 2019 AO Nadal.

Name isn’t everything. Nole has won most his slams vs old Fed and murray. The feeling at the time in 2015-2016 was we were witnessing a vacuum era... Fedal both declined with 1 ATG mopping up.
 
Maybe 2 more Wimbledon and USO titles, seems realistic to me. 1 more RG title is definitely a possibility.

I'm not so optimistic although Novak is looking invincible right now in GS. He has had ups and downs all his career.
From 2005 AO to 2010 USO, he won 1 out of 24.
From 2011 AO to 2012 AO, he won 4 out of 5.
From 2012 FO to 2014 FO, he won 1 out of 9.
From 2014 WB to 2016 FO, he won 6 out of 8.
From 2016 WB to 2018 FO, he won 0 out of 8.
From 2018 WB to 2019 AO, he won 3 out of 3.

Another winter is likely coming for him. We just don't know how soon and how bad/long.

I'll be happy if he wins 1 more WB and 2 more USO.
 
Why are you including slams from 2005?look at slams from 2011 bro and now he is undisputed favourite.

No player in his mind would pick Nadal in final of a slam over Hewitt or Roddick. Nadal is a beast in later stage of slam. Only a deluded troll would pick Nadal in final.

Old Fed, Murray, Wawrinka all weaker than 05-07 Nadal on clay yes by FAR.

About equal to likes of Roddick, Hewitt, Old Agassi... actually Old Agassi is superior to old Fed he made it to 5 sets vs peak Fed who is superior to peak Nole at USO.

I was directly comparing 2019 AO Nadal to some of those guys. He swept aside a bunch of mugs then his real level was exposed vs Nole.
 
Nole could go another 2 years stretch of not winning a slam. That's exactly what happen from 2016-2018, and that was a younger Nole.

We don't even know if he can catch Nadal, and father time is not on his side.

I think your calculations are wrong...
If Novak finish with 18 slams and finish as 2nd greatest, that mean Rafa will win only one more slam. So, Rafa plus Novak just 4 more slams combined to the rest of their carriers. No way that will happen. There is 90 percent of chance next RG is Rafas or Noles...

My prediction is they will win at least 8 more titles combined... New guy will start winning slams, Fed may get another one or two, but these two will keep dominating in next few years...
