How much does the elastic straps that hold the cardboard on a new racquet weight?

I am looking to buy a new racquet and want the to check the specs on their store machine, problem is they say they will remove the cardboard but not the elastic straps that hold the cardboard in place..
, i would imagine those plastic strips would weight something, even if just 2 grams it would affect the specs reading, i heard just 3 grams on the head of the raquert could increase swingweight by up to 10 points!, not sure if its true.
Ps: they won t remove the plastic on the handle but i don t worry about that, i know it weight 2g and does not affect either SW or balance.

so.. questions is : how much does the plastic strips weight and can i get an accurate idea of what the specs would be without it while not removing it during measurements?..

The actual weight of the elastic cords will depend on the length.. I have seen various lengths depending on model and manufacturer. The size of the metal ends are also different.
A safe assumption would be 2 grams each..4 grams total..

Wow - first you ask about a Clash 98 V2 because of the unstrung SW and now you're cluttering up the forum to ask what those stupid rubber strips weigh - what's your problem?
The sellers in the tennis store are already hiding from you when you enter the store.
Hopefully you'll find what you're looking for soon - it's annoying.
So far I haven't heard anything like that - you seem to be a rather difficult person.
Sorry - had to get that out now - in any case, good luck with your search.
If you don t like people asking question on a forum that is dedicated to that you should not be here.., if your life is miserable and you have a lot of **** inside don t come and throw it here, keep quiet.., Next time i see one of you stupid comments on my posts i am going to report you.

while we are at it, can i ask the weight of the clear film that is attached to the trapdoor..... like the ones on Babolat... thank you.

(lol.....)

Thanks, that makes sense, helpful unlike two brainless clowns that come complain about my post.

measured with a kitchen scale

Clash 98v2
elastic straps - 0.77g
cardboard - 9.93g
*the Clash cardboard label is about 2/3rd the size of the others I have

Head Prestige MP
elastic straps - 0.65g
cardboard - 12.64g

You see, I'm pleased that we're having such good communication right now.
Unfortunately, it's like in real life: if you don't know anything, you have to believe everything the others say.
But faith is also associated with anxiety and fear. You're afraid of buying the wrong racket. You're afraid of sinking money and you think you'll get the right answers by asking questions.
Have you even checked whether they have just calibrated their SW measurement device anyway? If not, you've just picked the wrong racket.
It's very difficult to get the right equipment these days, but the main thing is that you now know what the rubber things weigh - very nice.

So ive tried this on quite a few new racquets..!!

Measuring the SW with the cardboard in got me very close to what the strung SW of the frame. it was around 2-3SW points less. I use tru pro 1.25/1.22 (Firewire/ghostwire) primarily.

Would love to hear if others have done this test?

Really appreciate you taking the time to measure it yourself. that s what i was looking for to know, been so little i suppose the change in SW readings will be negligible.
Thank you so much!
