How much tennis do you play a week?

I find I am playing around 4-5 times a week. 2 practices and 2 matches, sometimes 3 matches.

I play in 2 leagues and 1 flex league
Sr Mixed ALTA - Saturday
Mixed ALTA - Sunday
Sr Mixed ALTA Practice - Monday (sometimes I will miss one of the 2 practices)
Mixed ALTA Practice - Tuesday - (sometimes I will miss one of the 2 practices)
Different days of the week I try to get a flex league singles match in

It's nice to leave in an area where we play Tennis year around.

Right at this moment, I'm just showing up for matches and I can do that seeing how our senior alta mixed team is f'cked and we just got eliminated in the semis of usta.lol I'm getting two matches in as I play a USTA league that has just started in N GA so two matches a week. Got to get ready for two tourneys in march I normally play there in atl. They are back to back. So I will now start drinking water breakfast lunch and dinner...lol

Probably around 10 hours on court a week at least, not nearly enough though if I want to reach the next level.

I play less than 2 hours per week. I mostly just captain because I want to remain close to my tennis friends and the game but I don't have time to practice. For those who play as much as you do, I am envious.

North Carolina here. We get a lot of good weather, but winters knock out some playing time.

In winter, usually 2-3 times per week.

In spring/summer/fall, more like 5 times per week. More if I can find it. Last year I played in 4 USTA leagues; the year before I played in 8.

What can I say---I love tennis. ;)

3-5 times plus teaching.

Generally I'll drill for an hour and a half twice a week, play a match at least once and usually there will be some more doubles mixed in. My new years resolution was no less than three personal hitting sessions a week. So far so good.

It's tough working two jobs and playing, nvm when one job is tennis. Last thing I want to do sometimes is hang around the club more or go in to hit on my day off. It's been helping though.

I captain and play on three teams. 3.5 18+ M, 4.0 40+ M and 8.0 40+ mixed. However, I don't play in every match. 1 or 2 practices session per week as well.

I used to play 4-5 days a week.

As my kids have gotten older (now all in high school) and I have gotten older (now mid 30's) I play less and less.

Winter - 1 or 2 days a week.
Spring - 2-3 days a week.

Tournaments time not included. I usually average 1 tournament every other month.

I play about 3 times a week and then my son and I will usually hit another day or so. I am in my mid 40's. I would play everyday if it wasn't for that job thing. Stupid job

Last Fall I was playing on 2 league teams plus a regular once-a-week social match so about 6 to 7 hours weekly. This Spring I'm on one league team as three of my weeknights are tied up with work but hopefully I also get to play one weekend flex league or a social match so maybe 4 hours per week.

I envy you guys who can get people to just practice with you during the week.

Play at 6am every weekday. It's the only time of the day there is no competition for indoor court time.

Plus league matches on the weekends.

I play everyday. Usually like to get 20 hours of court time per week and that doesn't count the times I'm out there coaching

I hit on average 10 hours a week for the last little while. Sometimes I can do more. If I really wanted to I could easily double it, but it's hard to justify the time when I have other things to do with my time. I play mostly in the morning or afternoon, very rarely after 4pm. That being said, it's really easy to get a couple hours nightly from 9-11pm, it is just hard to do the drive home for midnight to wake up for life the next day haha.

Monday nights singles 1.5 hrs in winter indoor courts. Outdoors 2 hours.

Wednesdays 1.5 hrs "King of the Hill" dubs. Usually squeeze in another 30-40 mins of dubs until club closes.

Thursdays - usually another 1.5 -2 hrs of dubs or singles ladder match.

Weekends - usually 2 hour dub session or if I can't schedule anything I'll take an 1.5 hour lesson.

Monday and Thursday night singles matches indoors, with each match taking anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on my level vs my opponents. When the match is over quickly, we generally play another set for fun since we still have the court.

Winter schedule - Doubles for 2 hours every Wednesday, EITHER cardio or men's drills on the weekend.

Summer schedule - at least 2 different 2 hour outings. Either singles or doubles.

I work two jobs (part time teaching at the local university in the evenings, inlcuding at least one summer semester) so it's tough to get out much more than that.

Probably why I still stink at tennis.

Singles 6 times per week, in average 1 or 2 being ladder matches.

Usually two hours plus per session and some serve practice + the ocasional lesson instead of a singles hit.

In the winter I'm lucky to play once a week. Spring and fall probably 3-4 times a week. Summer is 5-6 days a week.

I work a 9-5, so I can't do the day time stuff. Generally try to play every Tue & Thu nights, and at least once on the weekend. I average 3-4x per week (or 5-8 hours.)

Usually only about 2 matches a week for just league play. Plus tournaments which are about every day during tourneys. Plus practice time I average about 12-14 hours of on court time a week. Plus I have to do off court training as well.

I try to do one or two hours every day. Mostly drop-feeds and serving practice, though Flex League has just started and I have drills once a week.

Last week was spring break and despite a couple days of bad weather I took full advantage playing 8 of the last 10 days for about 14-15 total hours. A couple of those days were short ball-machine workouts.

Usually I play at least twice a week and three if the gods will it.

I play once a year to keep my street cred. If I can make it to the courts and hit for 30 minutes I feel that I'm qualified for another year teaching tennis "at any level" found here on the board.

When I’m not traveling, I play 7 times a week during the winter, 8 times a week during other months. 55 years old playing on outdoor hard courts all year long in Southern California. About 15 hours per week - 1 stringjob per week and a pair of new shoes every 5 weeks on average. During 2020 when there was no travel, I was able to play 131 days in a row!

Weekly typical routine is 2 singles (Mon/Sat), 1 lesson (Fri), 1 practice (Tue), 2 doubles (Sun/Wed) and on Thu, it can be singles or doubles or practice depending on the week. When the weather is nice and days are long, I also play one more doubles on Friday.
