Summer session is coming to an end I think, is there another summer session? Fall?? When does winter start?

Thanks for any insight!

I'd imagine it depends on where you are located. Here singles and mixed doubles are finishing up. Combo starts mid-August and runs to mid October.

It really varies by section.

Some sections have a single "advancing to Nationals" Men's/Women's season, typically in the Spring, some in the Winter, and some even as an early start league in the Fall of the previous year. But there are some sections that have multiple seasons that can advance and will have them in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.

The also depending on the section, there are "other" leagues such as Tri-Level, Combo, Singles, or just other local leagues that go on at various times of the year, often filling in the spot in the calendar when the "advancing" leagues are not taking place. And of course there is Mixed as well which can take place at varying times of the year depending on section again.

I do not like league play at all. I am going to play some 4.0 tourneys and maybe a few 4.5 in the next year.

Umm, I don't think that has anything to do with the OP's question, but thanks for playing and good luck in your tourneys.....?

In the UPTA/SATL (Greenville/Spartanburg) area we have:
-spring league which is both doubles and singles and the only one that counts towards your rating (for most people) or gives you strikes.
-summer we have mixed doubles
-summer singles in Greenville
-fall combo doubles
-fall singles in spartanburg

Then some time off for winter and repeat.
