How often do you wear tennis clothing?

i used to only wear my stuff on the court.. nike started giving $10 gift cards for filling out online surveys and boy, i filled out probably 150 of them over a year and a half and bought tons of stuff.. so much that i now wear almost nothing else outside of work. one positive is that people who play tennis notice and i have met a bunch of players i wouldn't have otherwise. 2-3 are now regular hitting partners.

How often do you wear your tennis apparel (and/or athletic clothing in general)?

I've noticed most of the time I just wear my tennis gear, wether at home, going to the market, or just casually.
Interesting question. I actually try to resist doing it too much if I’m not heading to the court after some errands or doing some on the way home. I wear a suit to work 5 days a week so that isn’t a choice. But if I’m not playing on a given off day (which is rare) I try to dress casually sans tennis apparel. But then again I’m 48 so it would be odd if I was always running around in Lotto or Ellesse or Tacchini lol

If I could find that kit that Nishikori is wearing in your profile pic, I’d wear it all the time though......

I wear my tennis polo tops everyday to work. And sometimes my shoes too. It’s a very casual dressed office. Just put on some shorts after work and hit the Courts that are 10min. Away.

I wear a Nadal track jacket over my work uniform before and after work and occasionally wear an AeroReact as a work undershirt. I sometimes wear the Nadal bull cap when I'm out and about.

My standard tennis attire is basic Nike training gear (Fly shorts, Dri fit top). It's also my workout gear. Those are the only times I wear it. Otherwise, I wear non-sport/exercise clothing as casual wear.

Same here. Love my Sergio Tacchinis and Ellesse polos. For people in the know, they appreciate the tennis heritage ;)

I usually dress like this a lot. It's pretty rare to find me dressed up honestly. I am typically in Lululemon shorts (SUPER COMFY) and a Nike Tennis shirt of some sort. It may have the court logo on it, tennis balls, Roland Garros, RF or Rafa shirts. I also coach HS tennis, so I don't dress up a lot at school because I'm in between tennis classes and after school practice. If I'm out and about, I'm always in apparel like this. I joke with my fiance about if we were to ever win the Powerball - we'd still be dressed the same clothes, but we'd pay off all debt and travel.

On the way to the court. On the court. Shorts and shoes remain on the way home, and I may need to stop at the grocery store to pick something up.

Other than that, nope.

I wear them only to play tennis. But when playing tennis, ONLY tennis apparel. I used to be one of those guys who thought I was too good to wear tennis shirts, and wore cotton t's (generally running or cycling t's to be super edgy), but then I realized that was dumb as they weighed roughly 9 pounds after 2 hours of drilling.

Some of Nike’s running shirts are lighter than the expensive tennis ones - and dri-fit so they handle sweat as well/better. And - $30-40, not > $70.

No, I'm talking the cheap cotton $5 T's you get for running marathons or participating in a 3 day cycling race.

Is that US only?

i only really wear my tennis shirts and shorts on my way to-from the courts. For USTA or tourney matches, I wear a collared shirt. For friendlies or practice I'll wear a non-collared, but generally still one of my tennis shirts. Shoes only come out on the court, and go back in the bag immediately after the match. for as expensive as those shoes are, I don't wear them around town. i wear old tennis shoes to kick around or do non tennis stuff that requires sneakers be worn, like walking on the trails or other outdoor stuff. Post-match, the drenched shirt is replaced with a t-shirt from one of of the tourneys i've played in, or pro tourneys i've ushered or attended as a spectator.
