Most of these "solutions" don't work against a "pusher". Pushers are:
    1. Fast - can run down "anything"
    2. Safe - they return the ball to places where it can't be easily attacked such as low slice balls deep into the corners and make very few unforced errors

Hey wait, isn't this what we all should be striving for?

Depends what your goal is. You are correct, many rec players could learn a lot from a pushers consistency and safety. However if the goal is a top college player or a shot at the pros, nope, you have to go beyond this.

Pushers come in various types. Some pushers hit balls 20 feet over the net and can get to every ball. This kind of pusher gets destroyed in higher level tennis.

Others fit your description, safe, fast, low slice deep to corners. A much more skilled type. However, at higher levels, this also gets beat since they can not put balls away. At the higher levels many are fast, many are consistent and play high percentages, many can hit slices low to deep corners.....but they also have the ability to attack and put balls away.

Obviously if a high level player can do everything a skilled pusher can do and add the additional element of being able to switch to the attack, they win.
