How to calibrate a Babolat 3001?

My Babolat 3001 strings 5 pounds to much each pull and I want to calibrate it, but where do I do it? The old instructions says remove the cover and turn on the 3rd screw? Anyone with more info and help on where I shall do the calibration? Thanks in advance!

I saw this, it may be close. The video is for a later machine, a Star 3 and 4, but in it they remove the cover to calibrate.

Hope it helps.

Could it be here the calibration is?

hello Hankenstein,
the picture you show us is the microswitch with the function of control de movement of the puller string. you need to take a picture in the oposite side of the electronic plate (green) and you will see 3 screws. i will try to take some pictures. Normally one is for the minimum tension than in your machine is 5kg, another is for the maximum 40kg and the other one i don´t know. that´s why i sent you a PM if you have the instructions or not. i bought one machine with a defect that i am trying to repair

I think you should email abilee2198 and obtain the calibration instructions. Might ask him if he has a manual too.

Hello @esgee48
We have the instructions sent by Albert
@abllee2198
but they are not complete.
Before regulate the screws of the potentiometers, seems that we have to enter in specific program like configuration but i was not able to test yet.
I will check during weekend and reply in this theme if I succeed but would be nice to find the official calibration by babolat
Thanks

Albert Lee's instructions are quite correct actually - I've now used it many times on 3002's and 2002's - any Babolat of that era will work the same. If your machine is so far out of calibration, perhaps something else is broken.

What i am trying to explain here is that calibration instructions are correct but as far as i understood in many conversations is that BEFORE doing the adjustment need to put the machine in “settings” mode switching on and holding the pull button.
As I didn’t test it I cannot say if the process is like that

There are two entirely different methods of calibration: 1: through the panel, using the startup + pull button and secret key and 2: using a multimeter (as per Albert Lee's instructions). The two methods are independed of each other. I always use the second one, with the multi meter, as it is much quicker. Never needed to set it to any settings mode or whatever, that's only for method 1.

Hello Jeroenn,
Now is clear that 2 method exist for calibration. i have the number 2 but....can you tell us how to do the number 1: through the panel ¡¡

and which values we need to double check to see if is OK in terms of calibration?

thanks

hello guys,
i try to find your help and i explain what i did: @jeroenn @abllee2198

that is the value when i do this:
- Push yellow button and hold when i switch on the machine
- hear 2 beeps and then 3 beeps more. Finish pushing the button
- After this rotate the potentiometer number 1 clockwise until hear a beep. then rotate counter clockwise (and less than 1 rotation i hear another beep). keep the screw of the N1 in the middle of the 2 beeps
- Switch off the machine
- Switch on and then check that secret button + 4 keep me the result: .000

after this process is necessary to adjust the tension of the machine making adjustments on potentiometer 3 in combination with N1 (controlling volts in a range of 0.8volt to 1,2 volts.

and this is what i cannot do perfectly. i was able to check 15kg with 14,94kg of results, but when i change to 17,5kg the measurement gave me 18kg.

Is someone able to explain how to do. for me the potentiometer 3 when i rotate clockwise 1 complete rotation, decrease 1kg but at one point, i think it is in the limit and no possible to decrease.

which value is the correct in the number 1? to have stability on the number 3.

what is the function of the potentiometer number 2. Albert said not to touch in the instructions

thanks for the help of all of you
Enrique

Hello,
i was testing calibration of my Babolat VS3001 during this weekend spending a lot of hours but now i am able to understand the process.

first of all, thanks to all the people that help me or at least tried to help: @abllee2198 @Babolat Official @Mike345 @fritzhimself @Irvin @jim e @jeroenn @Hankenstein

here my explanations:
1.- I used first the method of switch on and hold the yellow button (already explained before). when finish i measured by multimeter and the value was 0,88 volts.
2.- i putted value on the machine of 15kg and the value measured in the tension calibrator is 28,5 or 29. So after many test to go to 15kg i thought that impossible to go down to reach the 15kg WITHOUT touching on the potentiometer 1. so depending of the volt measured by the multimeter the value is changing. To get the correct value i had to put the number 1 in 2,7volt (0,9x3). the problem is when i change to 20kg the value is 24kg in the calibrator. So only is possible to calibrate keeping the value in 0,90volts

Would you be able to send me the calibration instructions? abllee2198 unfortunately doesn't respond to my email.
