How to calibrate a ektelon model d?

I´ve bought an old ektelon model d with no manual, I want to know how to calibrate it. I have used a fish scale to test the tension but the tension falls very much after lock out. I´ve never seen the scale stop because it turns off after 1 min. Is that because my old ektelon have no constant pull or is it something wrong?
