I guess you’re lucky then. Pain around the joints are usually more dangerous, harder to fix/heal.

Identify the possible muscles in the area of your pain. Keep in mind that some pains are not located where the injury is located, for example, pains from nerve pinches.

A reference on kinesiology should show you the possible muscles that might be involved given the motion. Look at the muscles that control the scapula's position on your back and side.
Recommend - used Manual of Structural Kinesiology, Thompson & Floyd, 14 or 15 th edition (college text)

You should stop stressing the injury and see a Dr.
