"How To Dominate Any Opponent In Your Tennis Matches".

Listen up competitive tennis players.

Because.

By the time you are finished reading this post.

You will be ready to start dominating any opponent that you face in your matches.

That is... "If you get the work in on what I am about to share with you and work the process daily".

Okay, take down some notes on these tips too.

Tip 1-

Develop an all-around solid game.

To dominate during match play.

"You must be able to consistently execute your shots under pressure".

That means.

You must get the reps in during practice.

Answer this question.

What's your weakest shot right now?

Okay, get more reps in daily and make sure you are making the needed adjustments after every rep.

The main reason players never improve in their competitive careers, is because they don't work the reps the right way in practice or they don't get enough in on a daily basis.

Next tip number 2-

Your Mind Is A Weapon!!

Tennis competition is all MENTAL.

And you are only as good as your mental game is on that given day!!

Here the thing about tennis matches.

When two players meet.

The one who is mentally stronger will always win. (At the end of the match)

After you develop an around matchplay game.

Work on your mental game twice as much as your tennis training.

Because your match play results will be determined by how mentally strong you are.

The sad thing is...

"Most players never work on their mental game enough and that is why they stay in tennis slumps throughout their careers".

Okay, the last tip for dominating in matches is this...

Leave It All Out There On The Court!!

Commit to giving 100% mental effort, focus and passion on every point and play each one harder than the last one.

Then breathe that point away and repeat the same thing again and again for the whole match.

Try not to lose two points in a row in your matches!!

You must commit to leaving it all out there on the court in every match from now on(Make a promise to yourself)

And set a strong intention to do it in every match.

Then.

Win or lose, you can still walk out the court feeling like a Champion.

That's the great thing about tip number 3!!!

You can't mentally lose a match with this victorious type of mindset!!

So, one more time.

Develop an around game for consistent play in your matches.

Then start using your mind as a weapon, by getting rid of all thoughts that weaken you.

Because at the end of the day.

All players are a reproduction of their own thoughts.

And last.

Go all in and leave it all out there on the court.

Get busy on these tips and watch how you start dominating players in months!!

Stay focus and work the process, until you start seeing results!!

Alright, guys.

Happy Holidays from Kansai, Japan!!

Make 2019 your best year on the court too!!!

I just want to have fun competing with other guys and gals. I don't see any point in "dominating" my opponent. Just beat him with superior play. The less ego brought to the tennis court the more fun it tends to be. People that use tennis as their personal ego stroke are generally the least fun to play.

But hey, practice more and be mentally tough are good tips.

What exactly is this "fun competing with other guys and gals" idea of yours? Like horsing around?

The psychology of playing sports is pretty complex. A lot of time people don't really know what others really mean.

I think TD just likes to type these same sentences. This is the same thing he posted 8x already. Guy is on a mission to become an internet guru.

What if my opponent also heeds this. What will simultaneous, but opposing domination do? Cancel out or multiply exponentially.

The implications are very profound. On the order of "that means an atom in my fingernail could be a whole other universe."

Tip 1- Develop an all-around solid game.

Does that mean to develop every shot equally?
Does that mean baseline grinders should develop their net game and vice versa?
Does that mean you should not concentrate on developing weapons?

To dominate during match play you must be able to consistently execute your shots under pressure.

That means you must get the reps in during practice.

Merely getting reps in does not automatically mean I will be able to execute under pressure. That's above and beyond mere repetition. Although I agree that repetition is a fundamental building block.

Answer this question. What's your weakest shot right now?

The main reason players never improve in their competitive careers, is because they don't work the reps the right way in practice or they don't get enough in on a daily basis.

I've heard various arguments about whether to develop one's strengths vs concentrating on one's weaknesses. I think weight of opinion is shifting/has shifted to the former.

Next tip number 2-Your Mind Is A Weapon!!

Tennis competition is all MENTAL.

It's partially mental, partially physical. It's not all one or the other.

No he won't. All other things being equal, I would give a higher chance to the more mentally tough player. But all other things are never equal.

Player A might be mentally tougher but player B might execute better, for example.

Also, player A might just be significantly enough better than player B that the mental aspect never enters the picture.

After you develop an around matchplay game.

Work on your mental game twice as much as your tennis training.

Because your match play results will be determined by how mentally strong you are.

I'd modify that to "Because your match play results will be determined in varying degrees by how mentally strong you are."

Commit to giving 100% mental effort, focus and passion on every point and play each one harder than the last one.

If I give 100% on the first point, how can I give successively more in subsequent points?

Then breathe that point away and repeat the same thing again and again for the whole match.

Try not to lose two points in a row in your matches!!

I think that's pointless advice, almost as bad as "try not to lose any points". Play the point to the best of your ability and move on. If you focus on trying to not lose two points in a row, you're concentrating on results rather than process.

You must commit to leaving it all out there on the court in every match from now on(Make a promise to yourself)

And set a strong intention to do it in every match.

Then.

Win or lose, you can still walk out the court feeling like a Champion.

Good advice. Easier to do when one has won, though.

You as well.

Still in the age of the typewriters?

Who still types the same texts over and over? Ever heard to save, copy, paste?

Well yeah. I'm sure it's from his ebook. Next time I'll be sure to type "save copy paste" instead of "type"

You can type on a smartphone, laptop, etc... not just typewriters correct?

No, I don't type the texts that I already have.

I don't think Thomas does, either. He probably took seconds to copy&paste this stuff from his chest of wisdom.

Yes I know that. I just chose to use "type" instead of "copy paste " less words for me to type. On my smart phone. Also with predictive text it will fill out the word for me usually after a couple characters.

Why are you so hung up on how people input words on a forum?

What is it when you touch screen filled with images of letters. Similar to "taping" a match.
Is type the metal letter that hits the ribbon. I fingered you a message.

I think you mistook my banter and my small message that it virtually cost Thomas nothing to repost this stuff. He's not on any mission or revealing any new found wisdom, contrary to your belief. :)

(Don't worry. I believe you know alot. Type, copy past, less words, more posts...all the same :))
