How to flatten out ball with westerish grip?

With a westerish grip u autmatically sing more low to high becaus this squares up the racket face at contact. no?

so how do you flatten out a ball if u have to swing low to high to square up the racket face?

Swing SLOW.
When you realize the ball goes too slow, you will flatten out your shots.
One cheat is to keep the racket face vertical, NOT closing it on takeback.

I think it would be hard to hit it perfectly flat, but if you try to give it more sidespin than topspin, it might do the trick for you? If you imagine the clock face, brushing the ball from a more 3 to 9 angle (if you're a righty), the ball will travel lower, and bounce less.

Have you thought about changing your FH grip to semi-westerish or even extreme easterish? Should result in a slight change in your swing path to something on a more even plane. Do you hit with a straight or bent arm on your FH? a straight arm vs a bent arm tends to flatten out the stroke.

I honestly don't think that's something a player with a western grip should be bothered about, rather than just trying to hit deep with heavy spin - how often do you see Nadal, or guys like Fritz, Kolhreichber, or even Djokovic hit the ball flat? The only times they do i believe, is when the ball is very high and they can just hit the ball straight through the court without any arc, and they don't swing low-to-high when they do it - they use a different mecahnic and swing high-to-low to just hit as hard as they can straight through the ball.
I am myself bad at it, because i can't usually hit such balls with power, because im used ot hitting low-to-high and i can't usually get enough acceleration on this high-to-low motion that im not used to. But i guess if you practice it enough, it will become natural

ok thats true.

but how can one hit low balls with western then? im really good on the low ones, strangly have more probs with higher (above shoulder)

The high ones are tricky because they take more shoulder strength. But what I try to think about is get the elbow higher during the prep, and just swing across.

Is a semi-Westernish grip (top hand) close enough?

I used to have trouble with high balls with my SW grip. Best tip I got was already mentioned, keep your elbow up higher in prep. That will flatten out your swing and therefore flatten out your shot.
