How to hit a two-handed forehand?

I have to used two hands unfourtantly due to a pshyical problem. I am wondering, if i am right handed, do i swap hands/grips if its a forehand or do i just use my backhand grip without swapping. it would seem hard to have time to swap hands.

I'd imagine you swap. Not swapping would be really awkward since you'd have an even more limited reach and your right arm would be right in on your body. I think I saw a video of a kid with a two-handed forehand once, I'll see if I can find it.

Nope, don't swap hands. My little brother hits 2-handed on both wings (Mostly becuase of his small size.) Make sure you have a knowledgable pro teach it to you, otherwise it will never feel right.

You can do it either way. Get Dave Smith's book Tennis Mastery, he is a big proponent of the 2hfh, also do a search on the many threads here on TTW. My daughter converted to the 2hfh and has improved a lot, it's not for everybody, but for some it's a very natural stroke. Good luck.
