My first tip to you guys is this.
Do not listen to 90% of the people on this site, because they have no idea of what they are talking about as for as learning, developing and coaching tennis.
The next thing I will tell you is...
"Model your strokes after the classic ones that are out there now or have been out there in the past".
The reality of the situation is... the tennis coaching industry is at an all time low, so you should follow this plan that I am about to give YOU.
Start teaching yourself tennis, because with the videos and information that is out there now, you can do it better than any below average coach could or would!!! (real talk)
Here is a 3 step system for you my friend.
1) Model after the classice strokes of the pros.
Don't be intimidated either.
We all learn faster with mental pictures anyway, so make YouTube your new tennis coach and focus on the classic strokes.
Only watch them in slow-motion and do your shadow swings in slow-motion as well.
We will get into the techniques and mechanics in a moment.
But, this is what many tennis students don't know.
If done correctly, watching classic strokes and then doing shadow swings and then working the reps the right way, can allow you to develop any classic stroke in 2 weeks or less.
And these classic strokes give you the ability to hit with more consistency, accuracy and depth.
2) Classic strokes are simple to learn and can be quickly develop through video watching and modeling with shadow swings.
With this part of the system.
Don't make things complicated for yourself. (like many coaches do).
Just keep watching the videos daily and modeling what you see...
This is what I have found out in using this accelerating learning system when coaching many tennis students.
The moment my students can actually execute the classic stroke without the ball perfectly and with feeling, is the moment that they can actually do it on the court!!
3) Let the reps determine the mechanics and the techniques.
Okay, as for as the techniques and mechanics go.
Throw all that crap out the window and allow the reps to take care of it for you and focus on working and trusting in the process.
This is where coaching is at an all time low!!!
Many coaches will say to me, "Thomas, that doesn't make any sense".
And I always answer with... "Have you tried this system out yet"?
Then when they actually try it out for themselves, they see that it does work and it can make their coaching job a lot easier!! (Hell, even then, some of them, still won't admit that it works)
So, if you are getting ready to say the same thing in the comment section below...
"First try out this proven system for tennis students to teach themselves the game".
Let me give you an exmaple.
You follow the first two steps in this system and then you start in on the reps. You make every one count in practice, you keep adjusting after every one and you keep doing this in practice for 1 week, well what is going to happen eventually is this... the shape of the stroke, will start to take a form on it's own and you won't even notice it happening because you will be busy working the reps.
(Then, all you have to do is get out of your own way and let your subconscious mind work for and through you.)
I want to say this again to all tennis students that are frustrated with their game right now.
Don't keep wasting your money on the bad coaching that is out there!!
I just shared a proven successful learning method for any tennis student, that works for developing any classic stroke.
Now go out there and test it out and see for yourself!!!
All I ask from you is that.
You please keep me updating on your results.
