Hi, does anyone know how to make those “fancy” instruction videos, with arrows, lines, frame by frame, slo mo, split screen etc, for example to compare yourself or your student to a pro?
Is there a specific software?
I was recommended iMovie for video editing in general but don’t know if that will “do the trick”?
Hardware wise I own iPad and (old) MacBook Pro and (even older) iMac
Best, Joakim

I have used Kinovea and found that it has many capabilities. It is for PC. One of the best capabilities is that it has a count down timer. Impact can be ball impact at time "0".

Kinovea is free and open source. I have used it for at least 10 years.

I'm on your side tennis.

On the forehand.

You can listen to it 20 times and still be learning.

Hi y’all, thanks for replying!
I´m not sure if you understood my question, or if I understood the answers; what kind of software would you use to create a video like say, this, on a mac or ipad?:

Either you don’t listen well or he isn’t a very effective teacher.

I know nothing about video production but as a consumer of tennis videos I have a request. Please make your video 5 minutes or less. If you plan well, you should be able to cover the key points of any stroke in 5 minutes and it will hold the attention of the viewer. At most, 6 to 8 minutes is all I want to watch.

ScreenPal is free and has good editing features to slow down or speed up, create graphics like arrows and stuff, and do split screen, etc. I did a video in another thread like this with a demo. Will have to find it.

Also, given some of the ScreenPal free version limitations, you can check this out:
Screenity looks interesting. But your best bet might be OBS Studio, which will do everything you want and more, although there is some learning involved.
