I've picked up a PT 600 that amazingly has the collar still intact, though it does have a couple of cracks in it which are getting worse just from me looking at it.
I'd love to be able to preserve this part, just because I appreciate that it's made it this far. But I'm unsure what the options might be (or even if there are any).
I'm tempted to gorilla glue the existing beginning cracks, and just paint over the entire collar with like a nail polish clear coat, or anything clear that leaves a hard, shiny coat. But I have no experience with anything like this, I've done plenty of other smaller repairs but not a suspension grip collar.
Any thoughts?
