Hi, I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there who are interested in having the Nike Vapor Speed shoe re-released ( including me ).

So, I was wondering if there was any way that we could show Nike how many people would like this shoe to be re-released?
I've put a poll into this thread to see how many people actually want this shoe, but it is useless unless someone from Nike notices it...

I've also sent a question to Nike regarding this, but there hasn't been a response yet...

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks,
Alex

Wont happen for 10 years, if ever.
I agree.

One of the sad facts of Nike tennis (and probably other lines we don't care about) - they change many times a year. You snooze, you lose - and then have to a) make frequent visits to a Nike Outlet and get lucky; b)watch The Large Auction Site and get lucky.

I believe users were getting heal bubble problems with the first release. The bubble would pop out. I have a Aegean blue version size 11 just sitting new in box under my bed. I'm thinking about placing it in a acrylic box for display. It's just too georgeous to wear.

I actually want a re-release of the Vapor S2s instead. There's a reason Sharapova is still wearing them.

why did nike continue making cages but stop making the vapor speeds
WWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent an e-mail to NIke customer service, you guys should do the same thing. The guy replied that if there is enough interest, there might be a re-release at some point of time. Maybe not soon, but might.

just got a reply from nike re: the Vapor Speeds.

"After an extensive search through the product line and archives I found that at this time there are no plans for the shoes to be remade."

:(

yeah also while were at it lets get BMW to bring back the E39 series and Porsche the 968turbo, and oakley the monster doggles, and NYC the Twin Towers.....

They were wide feet friendly?

No, they were not wide friendly. Luckily, they ran big. Your usual size would have extra room in the fore foot.

I specifically remember durability was terrible with these shoes. The tread ran thin and/or you’d wear down to the air bubble rather rather quickly. I always wondered why these shoes were more Air Zoom than Air Max.

Another cool thing I remember about these shoes, is that white w/obsidian version was sold at the Norfolk Navy Exchange. Initial pricing was already $89.99. I think MSRP was $110. My tennis buddies in the area caught wind and easily had me check for their sizes after work. The shoe wasn’t well know to the non-tennis world so they were quickly in the clearance for $60, then down to $40. I remember these were some of the first items I ever sold on the BAS.

I remember them running short?

I could be mistaken. This WAS so long ago lol. I’m sure if we search hard enough, we can find our original conversations about the shoes, J.

I just remember my toes jamming in the end and the arch being this hard plastic thing that hurt my feet.

Yeah they definitely ran small for me. Always half size up. And even then, they still didn’t wear comfortable to me. At that time, the Vapor IVs felt better to me
