How to reduce power?

Hi guys.
I currently play with ncode 90 and this raquet has more power than needed. I tried to rais string tantion and it helps but the raquet loses touch, tried to put some leed tape on the grip then the raquet becomes unstable. Before used to play with tour 90 which has less power a bit, and got some problems with my shoulder. May be any other methods exist, share please?
Sorry for my English and thanks for any information.

rulik:

I would also like to hear what other have say because I am struggling with the same issue, that is, the Ncode 6.1 Tour 90 is too powerful and does not have the same touch and feel as the PS 6.0 85.

On the positive side, it is easier to generate spins and ground strokes are deep and penetrating.

Try some Head RIP Perfect Control or Head IntelliTour. They are comfortable strings, but low powered. Some people even call them dead feeling they are so low powered.

I played with the ROK for about 5 months. I was looking for a little more spin and service pace. I switched to the PS 6.0 85 and that was great.

I had to try the newest and greatest Ncode 6.1 Tour, right? Sso here I am with too much power and a bit loss of feel and touch.

I agree that the ROK is very spin unfriendly, but it certainly meets your requirement for low power.

Back to the nCode 90. I didn't think it had too much power at all, maybe a little more than the PS 85, but not by much.

The PS 85 is way too stiff and jarring for my tastes, and the nCode 90 takes those same characteristics to a whole other level. :!:

If you find too much power with the Ncode 90 make a switch to something like the Prostaff 6.0 Mid, even though the head is smaller its got lower power or go to the Yonex RD-Ti 70, or as Gaines suggested switch to a lower powered string.

I agree with trying the Head perfect control string. It really does take a lot of power away. I put that string in a powerful racquet and I'm amazed at how much power it took away (it was even strung at below mid tension).

The Rok isn't that spin unfriendly, compared to other dense string patterns, I'd say it generates pretty good spin. The Rok is definitely lacking in power (I have mine strung at 52lbs with Babolat VS 17 and it still lacks the power I like).

Power and spin are the only slight advantage that the 85 has over the ROK. Although I doubt if most players who choose either one have loopy topspin strokes to begin with because the 85 and ROK favors players with more linear strokes anyway. The ROK has just as much control if not more so than the 85, and is infinitely more comfortable if that's a concern.

i had the same problem when i switched from my tour 90 to the ncode 6.1 90 but i kept playing and ull figure out how to manage with the new power. its a lil different in the beginning but u shoudl be able to get a hold of the power within a week or two. just keep trying!

LickyMYwalker, I think you are right.

I have only played with the Ncode 6.1 Tour for two hours. I think with time the power issue can be a no issue.

However, the lack of touch and feel (compared to the PS 6.0 85), especially on drop volleys, is really concerning me. This is an important shot of my game and I was droping them all over the place last night.

O my God. Thanks a lot guys for your replys.
I never tried Rok and any Head raquets but also used to play with original 85 which for me it's even more powerful than ncode 90 and is demanding on return serves.
The was to go with new trying in Rok and Head.
See you on the court.
