how to save money on shoes or where to look for deals?

Hello - I'm not in a hurry to buy new shoes, but just wondering where you guys look for deals on tennis shoes.

There are quarterly sales here on TW that do well... major holidays really. I got some React NXTs for maybe $55 shipped. I love the shoes. Just have to keep your eyes peeled for "additional X% off of clearance" and be less picky about colors.

quit playing tennis :P

i typically go through hard court sneakers in a month... so when (tennis) sneakers go on sale (eg. old generation, over stock, lack of popularity, etc...), i'll buy them in bulk... like 10 at a time.

I use sales at major retailers as stated above, and scouring FleaBay

Put an item on your watch list, and a motivated seller will send you an offer. Send a counteroffer and off you go.

I scored 4 pairs of NIB GP Turbo this way and paid less than $60 for each one.

Recently got the Wimbledon colorway of the Rafa Cage 4 for $85 from a major retailer. There is no reason to pay full retail pricing ever.

I know some people may disagree with me, but I have been wearing low profile basketball shoes. They are a lot cheaper and they work well for me. They have all the support and grip that I need for tennis.

Tennis Warehouse and other retailers have price drop alerts. Find the shoe you're looking for and click that price drop alert button.

I regularly go to the other 'warehouse' and just find the tennis footwear category and click away. The shoes that show up are pretty random but legit performance tennis sneakers do pop up at good discounts.

There's a lot of brand new and slightly used shoes on the bay for very, very cheap. Try them on new at a big store. Return them and buy them off the bay.
