How would fare today the Djokodal competition ?

Peak Ferrer, Peak Berdych, Peak Del Potro, Peak Tsonga were better player than the clowns like Sinner and others. They pushed and often beat Fedalovic when they were at the height of their powers.

Del Potro who beat Fedal in a row at the USO 2009 and pushed an excellent Federer at the FO SF 2009 would have been already 2 sets to love up against the Nadal of yesterday. It's the truth. His serve at 20 was a league above Sinner serve. No way he would have choked the first set like Sinner did.

Peak Tsonga would love his chances on grass and HC, he would have won USO 2020 and maybe AO 2021 without problems (Djokovic was there for the taking, but Zverev decided to promote the biggest muggery ever)

Peak Ferrer (2012-2013) would feast on clay (except maybe not against Tsitsipas) and he would have troubled Nadal too.

Peak Berdych would have maybe won a GS on grass.

Sinner can dream to have the level Berdych displayed against Nadal at the AO QF 2012

I get the frustration with the Next Gen but again this is a bit of false equivalence. We have not seen "Peak Sinner" as yet so comparing him against the best, mid-20s versions of those guys is not particularly helpful.

Need to be absolutely crystal clear with these comparisons otherwise there'll be attacks by trolls from all sides.

My definitions for the current era
LostGen = Raonic, Nishikori, Dimitrov, potentially Thiem - all late 20s, approaching 30+ now
NowGen = Zverev, Medvedev and anyone in their mid 20s who is a recently established contender
NextGen = Sinner, Alcaraz, Musetti - and other promising teenager or someone who is at most 21 and yet to fully develop

What I'm saying is we should be seeing how Zverev, Med or even Tsitsipas fare against the Old Men here for this comparison to make sense. One of them should get their chance in the Final.
Worth noting Ferrer took a set off a better Nadal here in 2014.

Ferrer would maybe beat the current Nadal.
Ferrer pushed Nadal hard at the Master 1000 during 2012-2013 and he would have finished the job against 2021 Nadal unlike Shapovalov and Tsitsipas.
