Huge difference in sidespin potential depending on balls

So I've just started doing underarm serves due to back right injury I guess its a joint connecting the back to the shoulder or something. Hurts so bad on normal serves now I can't even do one serve, well except I did end up discovering a new way to swing without involving it thats striking the ball surprisingly cleanly. But anyway due to the underarm serving lately I realized depending on which balls I use I get way more or less sidespin on the ball. Specifically Wilson Trinitis are super reactive and with a lot of racquet head speed on underarm serve I can make it sidespin wickedly & wildly. But I opened brand new cans of AO balls today which are thicker, denser heavier and they freaking resist the spin so badly. No matter how fast I swing the ball only jumps to the side a little, nothing to seriously throw the opponent off. What to do with balls like this?! They bounce good and topspin nicely but somehow just massively resist sidespin no matter what I do... I don't understand how it can resist sidespin no matter my swing path & speed when it generates topspin fine on groundstrokes.

I think I saw on tv that the AO balls are Dunlaps. I hate the Dunlap balls because they're so hard. And I've also felt for years that they won't take spin well. I've often wondered if they use the same rubber in their balls that they use in their tires.

Ha that makes perfect sense then, you're correct they're Dunlops. Based on past experience though I think they get much better and spinny when they start discoloring and soften up some

Every good player I know chooses Dunlop Hard Court Champs as the ball of choice.
Pro Penn are ok.
Wilson's are the choice for girls....who are at the level of 4.5 mens..

Stressing a newly injured body tissue can cause it to heal defectively in a very short time. For example, see thread Tendon Injury Nuthouse. Especially see posts #1 tendinitis to tendinosis and #15 tendinosis (with defective healing).

Search threads with "Ellenbecker" for how to hold the upper arm for a high level serve to minimize the risks of shoulder impingement. Observe nearly all ATP players doing what Ellenbecker recommends.

The shoulder joint is on the scapula and the scapula slides around on the rib cage, Scapulothoracic Joint.
