I mean do we just downplay home favourite #9 Cam Norrie? Or #3 seed Casper Ruud? And there's other floaters there like PCB, Goffin, Paul, this Peniston guy and Tiafoe.

Not sure Dimitrov is just the easy favourite now.

The draw is Roddicked in the middle of nowhere.

I'd probably pick Paul or Dimitrov, though I'd be happy if Fucs, Goff, Ugo, or Vesely pulled it off as they're all good to watch on grass, and have the game for it. Vesely, in particular, having beaten Djokovic on his two lesser favoured surface, would be a super tasty match up on his favourite :-D shame he looks fat and completely out of shape.

I would like Djokovic more if he did that. I’m sure he’d gain a following in Ireland and Scotland too. lol
Yeah. :D

Tbh, as I have said many times, I think complaining about draws is nonsense since you just habe to win your matches if you want to win a slam no matter who you're playing, but the Djoko SF draw is just so boring... You don't even need to follow that half because everybody knows who will play in the final...

Yeah. :D

Kind of like Nadal at RG isn't it? :D

I wouldn't count out Alcaraz yet. He has been really impressive today after early rustiness.

He will be ready for Novak should he survive till QF.

I'm not saying Nadal had a difficult draw at RG. And even if he drew No.34, 33, 25, 9, 1, 3, 2 (hardest possible) I wouldn't complain because a slam is just about winning. Win your matches or lose and if you lose you weren't the best and are rightfully NOT the winner of the tournament.

Nadal at least had Alcaraz and Zverev in his half until SF which made it somewhat worth following (I think Nadal dodged a bullet with Sascha injury, this match was gonna go on for a while...).

Djokovic will steamroll to the final. I'm not complaining or saying weak draw, I just wanted to have a mighty tournament and now every second day of action will be like "doesn't matter who wins" in the non-Djoko-matches ;)

Oh, I'm not just talking about 2022, I am talking about Nadal during his prime/peak years. Because the statement still applies, why bother watching that side of the draw if you know who will be in the final, right? 8-B

True.. RG was very boring for several years when Rafa was in his prime.

What are your thoughts on possible Alcaraz vs Novak QF? I think Alcaraz can be a very tough match up for Novak especially in the 2nd week with the court playing easier.

I have a thread on it on the main page, you can check it out there. :D (y)

PCB just won his first match on grass, but Peniston and Paul are playing some terrific tennis. Goffin has reached a QF at SW19, but Tiafoe and ADF are the biggest question marks.

Norrie gets my vote. He’s no bum.
From more than 40 votes you were the only 1 who choose Norrie,i am extremely confused. The guy may not be the greatest grasscourter but is by far the most consistent players from that group. He would hardly make a miracle and defeat really top player but also will hardly be eliminated by mediocre one contrary to Dimitrov or Tiafoe for exemple. I think he and Ruud are the more consistent but Ruud game is far more clayoriented so pick Norrie.
