Brilliant! That Nadal/Djokovic are just too good. Hurkacz was so freaked out over possibly facing Djokovic in the semis that he choked in the first round.

I’d rather have it at the end of my career because then I could be able to win Slams I would have no business getting otherwise.
2017 Wimbledon was respectable form (like AO 2019 and a couple of others from this era) but yes, those too.You mean slams like 2017-2018 AO/2017 Wimbledon?![]()
Why did Carreno Busta retire?PCB retired mid match
Sorry I don’t know, only that he did.Why did Carreno Busta retire?
Nadal/Djokovic have still been facing each other, as well as Medvedev, Zverev, Berretini who are all same level or better than Roddick, Hewitt, Bagdhatis. Today’s era is a little stronger than 2004-2007 overall but still below 2008-2019 which was the Gold era for mens tennisI’d rather have it at the end of my career because then I could be able to win Slams I would have no business getting otherwise.

Not all of these years belong with one another. But everything is going to be below 2008 - 2019.
If there were four Agassi's (and there are not four Agassi's) all playing great tennis, it still would not be at the level of 2008 - 2019.
Not all of these years belong with one another.
Peak Hewitt was basically a worse version of Medvedev with weaker serve. Roddick=Berretini. Zverev = Safin but actually shows up more than once every 5 years. Also Nadal and Djokovic have each other and late prime Federer until 2019.There is peak Hewitt (and Safin), and other Hewitt and Safin. Those are practically two separate players.
Well, then you had Agassi and Fed in 2004 - 2 ATGsIt depends on what you are talking about.
Not all of these years are equal, but the big 3 were still battling it out in 2019.
In your view, is Roddick essentially a less evolved version of Berrettini?Nadal/Djokovic have still been facing each other, as well as Medvedev, Zverev, Berretini who are all same level or better than Roddick, Hewitt, Bagdhatis. I can make it easy for you:What you and many others fail to realize is that on a surface like grass he will always be a mountain to climb in order to beat over best of 5. How can Djokovic have no business winning Wimbledon titles with such a strong serve game where he is holding 90-95% of the time and hitting hitting aces left right and center combined with his returning cababilities. Even if his ground game may seem below standards these last few editions his serve/return game will always be there to help him. And his serve is the most improved shot these last few years.
The fact that you percieve it as "no business winning" despite going for 4th title defence and tying Pete shows you how strong his game is here. Djokovic's combined first two strikes is exactly why he has had such a success combined with all his other outstanding qualities and why he hasn't lost in 5 years now (if you want to look past his injury in 2017) and why Nadal nor Federer or anyone else for that matter can get the better of him on this surface so far.
Lets see how this Wimbledon goes. Maybe this is the year his run ends, but it Will take some effort to break him him down, that is for sure.
Please, Berrettini won 5 games against a 38 years old Federer in Wimbledon.Peak Hewitt was basically a worse version of Medvedev with weaker serve. Roddick=Berretini. Zverev = Safin but actually shows up more than once every 5 years. Also Nadal and Djokovic have each other and late prime Federer until 2019.
Very similar level players, perhaps Roddick moved a bit better but stylistically they pose the same challenge to the top guys. Berretini consistency at slams has been very impressive in the last couple of years and he has only lost to Nadal or Djokovic. In your view, is Roddick essentially a less evolved version of Berrettini?
That was then. The 2021- version of Berretini is much more accomplished and developed on grass. Please, Berrettini won 5 games against a 38 years old Federer in Wimbledon.
I'm not one of those who try to find excuses for Roddick's horrible record against Federer. But comparing him to Berrettini is a joke.
I can make it easy for you:
Look at what Federer had to deal with at Wimb compared to what Djokovic has. Djokovic would not win Wimb against his 2014/2015 self, I'm pretty sure of that. And I doubt he'd be winning Wimb at an old age against 2 ATGs back to back like in 2019.

Even his worst run had Shapovalov and Berretini.Better than the Hewitt and Roddick Federer faced in 05.Djokovic has had to deal with Federer 4 times and 2 times against Nadal. Djoko managed to convert these 6 meetings into 5 titles. That's an outrageous conversion against such elites..
So weird, at 40 votes it was just the 1 i cast. Now he's waaay out in front. Looks like everyone came to their senses lolFrom more than 40 votes you were the only 1 who choose Norrie,i am extremely confused. The guy may not be the greatest grasscourter but is by far the most consistent players from that group. He would hardly make a miracle and defeat really top player but also will hardly be eliminated by mediocre one contrary to Dimitrov or Tiafoe for exemple. I think he and Ruud are the more consistent but Ruud game is far more clayoriented so pick Norrie.
This. With respect to that quarter.Tiafoe should be the favorite now.. Dimitrov the 2nd favorite.
Dimitrov is the only possily decent semifinal candidate but he is unreliable and will surely fail. No other player in this group should go anywhere near Wimbledon SF in any normal timeframe but this one isn't it. What it tells us?

Yeah, and that flat backhand moves through the court nicely when he hits it deep enough. I'd love to see it, but he hasn't had great grass results this year.Norrie gets my vote. He’s no bum.
The space between ADF's ears will keep him from winning. He has the game, just not the mind. The streak will end in a serious downer of a match, IMO. I hope I'm wrong. It'd be great to see him "come of age."Norrie's opportunity if there ever was one, but remember he's only ever made R3 of each major - never beyond! He will literally do well to make R4 as far as his career results go. I'd love him to smash that and make the QF or SF. What about ADF after he actually ended Hurkacz' campaign?

My goodness, are we talking about a grand slam tournament or an ATP250?Dimitrov is the only possily decent semifinal candidate but he is unreliable and will surely fail. What was wrong with AO 2017?
Not that privilege belongs to Brian Gottfried, who in the final at RG 1977 against Guillermo Vilas won the ridiculous figure of three games. Are you afraid of djoker...rudd is the weakest opponent in a final ever in open era
Djokovic doesn´t like this post. How about a wild Vesely?
