Hybird Gut Stinging -Is it best to have Poly or Syn in cross

Is there a benefit to putting a poly string (Kirschbaum Touch Turbo 17) in the crosses verses a Syn Gut (Gosen Micro Sheep 17) or a Multi filament (NXT). Thanks

I think those that use a poly in the crosses do so hoping to tame some of the power of natural gut...maybe gain a little extra control. Personally I wouldn't use that combination myself, but would use a soft solid core or Alpha Gut 2000 as a cross to control costs.

If you are hybriding with nat gut, I wouldn't recommend using a multi in the crosses. As Jerry said, most people who use a poly in the crosses with nat guy are doing so to help tame the power of the gut. A solid core string is better than a multi in a combo with nat gut because it's more durable. Natural gut saws into multis pretty fast.
