Both of these strings have fairly low friction to other strings and would be good for softening up the stringbed. I plan to string a thin gauge of Volkl Cyclone in the mains and these would be thin too, as I am not a string breaker. My question is not so much which is better (although feel free to leave your opinions on the topic) but how will the two differ in how they play as a cross, specifically spin, control, and feel? I have played full poly with no arm problems but I find myself wanting a slightly softer stringbed as I prefer the feel, while maximizing spin and keeping the cost relatively low. What do you all think? Also let me know if there are any other strings I should consider (ideally $10 USD or less but a bit over is fine)!

By the way, haven't decided on a racquet yet but it's between the VCP 97 310 (green version), 360+ Gravity Pro, and 360+ Radical Pro.

It depends on the player. You need to try both and see which cross you prefer. Selecting a string by reading posts is a good way to pick a demo string, but you need to hit with the strings to decide what you like.

Have you hit with any of the frames you have already decided to select ?

if you were my client, you pick a frame first, then your two matched frames would go head to head with the same mains, one with Syn Gut crosses and one with GW Crosses. Using a poll to pick string is a poor attempt to figure out what you like and don't like. Pick a frame then demo the strings as I have suggested. FWIW, I have strung 7500+ frames in the last five years and my clients demo strings in a blind playtest to remove their bias.
