Poly dead in 10 hours.
Gut lasts longer.
Do you cut out the gut?
Or just replace the poly?
Deform frame?
Poly main? Or poly cross?

Dead as in feel?
If you care that much and at that advanced level, replace entire string. But just burns more cash.

Otherwise would and should have snapped the guy already.

I usually only replace my gut cross when I break it. And keep poly mains for a 2nd round

Isn't the standard Gut main / Poly cross?

Yea, let's hope the gut just breaks in 10 or less.
Poly folklore. Dead in 10. Kills arm if used more. I cut out poly at 10 to be arm safe.

Have strung that combo for people, but always played with gut cross for longer durability .

Does it feel better your normal way?
And doesn't the gut movement as main frustrate u ?

Have never used it myself.
I was on full Poly for a few years.
Now, I am doing Gut/Glide, ZX/Glide, ZX/Velocity
Next up is Gut/Poly

My natural gut lasts me 3 to 4 months before they break.
I play 3-4 hours per week so it would be well beyond 10 hours.
I don't bother switching out the poly. It's not like poly loses its slipperiness.

Use a starting clamp and tie off the cross on a cross, then you won't have to worry about it damaging the gut.
