Hybrid Speedport Tuning System!

Guys,

i finally played with my new setup today with the Speedport Tour.

What i have is 12-ports and 3,9-Holes
Strung with Signum Pro Hextreme 16 @ 60lbs

For those of you that are familiar with the STS systems,

-holes=more feel, traditional racket setup
-ports=more damp feel, softerish

and the other thing is that even with the hole inserts, the SPT or SPB are still considerably more muted in feeling than other rackets.

So the first thing i want to comment on is that SERVES are FRIGGIN AMAZING.
The port setup at 12 allows a softer feel on shots toward the head and seems to give a little power boost. I was hitting 100-110 mph consistently today as well.
This setup is literally smack dab in between the holes and the port inserts.
this setup still provides feel while also adding some forgiveness at the head.
So generally, one would expect to get powerful serves.
(could also be the strings providing softer feel, after all SP is a softer poly, but dont think so)

Do you try any other combinations?(Ports at 3 and 9 / Holes at 12)

If it is true, how could you compare setups??

I've just bought a PST and like the port inserts, but I would like a bit more action on serves. What setup do you recomend me?

ports at 3 and 9, holes at 12 is just the hybrid. Not worth it imo.

You really want the string holes at 3 and 9 to increase stability. Ports at 12 will give you the kick you want on service.

I covered this already in my response to you earlier tbh.

Ports move the sweetspot towards the frame they are attached to. 3 and 6 weaken the sweetspot in the centre but give you more at the 3 and 6 racket edge areas. You reduce the deviation of power potential.

If you put the ports at 12, then you reduce the power from the centre a smidge and reduce the deviation for power potential in the vertical plane.

People find the speedport and O3 to be dull or overcushioned because there is no real 'feel reward' from getting a perfect sweetspot. Other rackets give you this reward, but punish off-centre hits more.

For the most powerful serve put the string holes in throughout the racket as that will increase weight the most. With all string holes in the racket is about 12oz I think.

string holes at 12 will increase swingweight more for least increase in static weight. Holes at 3 and 6 with ports at 12 will increase static weight more than swingweight.
