i was just wondering if you have to match the colors of the strings when you hybrid. i am planning on buying string for myself and some friends, and will get them the same color (natural or white) if i can't mix colors. just don't want my racquet looking really funny when i am done stringing it! thanks for any input!

    Extremely important!

    Extremely important!

It's only through my vast experience that I can confidently say that matching string colour is one of the most important factors in terms of string performance.

After completing my 2nd degree (Physics), here is what I've come up with for the perfect combination of string colour for performance.

Now please, this is top secret, and I'm thinking of submitting my work for publication - so please don't share this with anyone else.

    Ok, here it is!

Now, once you can emulate this combination, you too will have the best string performance!

You'll have to find a way to hide the tie-dye-ness...

Umm what's your question? Do you have to match colors? Of course not. Should you try to match?-only if it bothers you. Most people are not even going to notice your strings anyways unless they are a very bright color.

If you string for others, you should ask them. Some strings, like SPPP (orange) or ProSupex Big Ace (Neon and red) only come in certain colors. If you string for others, I think it's a good idea to ALWAYS string your own with different colors. People ask about it, and it gives you a chance to show them that you know something about strings. I'd estimate that over half the stringjobs I do are hybrids now.

my son has a 19" rainbow colored strung racquet, he's 5. Anyone over maybe age 9 who uses these are either a member of the Rainbow Coalition or they are getting in touch with their "inner child".
