Hybrid tension question

I have tried full poly and full multi set-ups but have never tried a hybrid string job. There are some combinations I'd like to experiment with but not sure what tension should be. I will be stringing poly mains and multi crosses. I generally play around 46lbs in a full poly job and 53 to 55 lbs in a full multi job. I know from reading through the threads that most people string their multi crosses 5 to 10 percent tighter than the poly mains. So my question is do I just start with the tension I use for the poly (46lbs) and then for my multi cross string 4 to 5 lbs tighter or is this being too simplistic. My first hybrid job will be of MSV hex mains and Head RIP Control crosses if that matters. The MSV Hex is a tad bit too stiff in my new raquet and I'm hoping the RIP crosses will aid in softening up the string bed.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

i would stick with your current poly tension and bump the multi crosses a 4-5lbs. From then you can work from there. So I'd recommend 46/50+-1

Agree with advice above. If you use multi in mains, string the multi at you normal multi range 53-55, and drop poly crosses 3-5 lbs. If soft poly, drop 3 lbs. If stiffer poly, drop 5 lbs. I use multi or syn gut mains at 55-57 with poly cross 50-52 in the summer - always a 5 lb drop. Drop both strings 2 lbs in winter cooler weather.

I avoid string poly any higher than 52 lbs wheather in main or cross.
