Hybrid with non poly(multi and/or syngut)

Seems unusual but I know people on here do it.

I am curious what you were trying to achieve and why you chose the strings you did.

I generally play full multi. I’ve tried poly and poly/multi hybrid but felt that the hybrid lacked the benefits of both strings while adding the negatives of both. But I’ve never tried multi hybrids.

Well, I did a hybrid of Head RIP Control (multi) and a Gamma Synth Gut, once.

It played fine. It didn't do anything better than the full bed of Rip, I don't think. Maybe it got slightly (very slightly) better spin. It was a little firmer. Meh.

Wow that’s an interesting hybrid. Combining what are usually considered to be the stiffest and the softest strings around. What’s specific setup and how did you land there?
I don't think synth gut is the softest sting (natural and most multis are softer).

that combo's been around; nothing new. but it does play really well if you can get dial in your tension range.

Really nice as a string-and-forget setup. Not as spinny as poly, but better than poly for volleys, flats, and slices.

The dangers of reading too fast. I saw gut and thought natural.
