Hyper G moving

Do you guys also have a problem with Hyper G that it actually starts moving during the first play with it? I’m talking about 1.05mm (the thickest) version of it. The tension seems to be there yet, but I have to „correct” the string between each point.
I also have question if the Hyper G soft has a huge difference than the regular HG.
I have strung HG to my Clash 100 and it feels great for me (even though I’ve always prefered soft strings).

1.05mm is the thinnest version you can buy, not thickest.

What tension are you using, what machine was it strung on, who's stringing it?

I’m sorry, my English is not perfect, that’s why I made that mistake.

I string for myself on drop weight. Have strung it on 21/20,5 kg. Have never had such a problem with moving.

Assume you 're doing it full-set, try replace the cross strings with a round soft poly, such as Topspin Cyberflash, Isospeed Cream etc.

HyperG Soft play very similar to regular one, just a bit softer for me.

If you are using 1.05mm on a 100 racket yes I would expect movement after the first hour. Depends also what tension you are stringing at.

I’ve used HG and HG Soft - I like HGS better as it is much more comfortable while being very similar otherwise. I can play at least 5-7 more hours with it compared to HG before it goes dead and starts feeling harsh.

I would go up to 1.20 or even 1.15 for 16x19 100 sq inch. 1.05 is too thin for that head size.

I would use 1.20 max for a 100 inch head with 16x19. At that tension 1.25 or 1.3... Any reason you're going that low with that thin of string? Clash plays fine/well with low tension, but if you want any durability or playability that definitely will not work.

Hyper G soft is similar to Hyper G. It is a bit crisper and softer at the expense of some performance and durability.

To be honest, when I string even 1.25, I sometimes have problem with putting the string into hole (talking about holes where at least twice the string goes to). The hole seems to have to little space and I can’t put the string into the hole. For example- lately I had problem with Tourna BH black 1.20, I wasn’t able to put the last cross because there was no space in the last hole (it was just blocked with the other strings which went around that hole which is for last cross).
The 2nd reason I want thinner strings is that I heard that thinner strings offer more power and as I’m not a string breaker and a big hitter, I decided for the thinnest (1.05) but with the string moving after an hour, I know it was a mistake...

For the holes try cutting the end of the string diagonally and using some pliers to flatten out the end of the string. You should be able to force it through with the pliers. Going the thinnest gauge you can is some decent advice in some applications but you'll run into string movement as you noticed in a large head 16x19. Try 1.2 again. For blocked holes, you can also put a piece of trash string between before pulling tension so it doesn't close up too tight.

You put 45lb on 1.05mm string. That is not too high nor too low.

But mains should not move out of place that quick. May be after few days of hitting.

If it does, then it would point to bigger tension loss or less tension than anticipated when it was strung.

I am assuming you are not a hard hitter. The best option for you would be 1.15mm HGS or TBS.

Cheers.

I string 19 and 20 ga. hyper G at high 50s in my yonex and clash with no problems. The scrap string in the "double string holes" works like a charm. Also a pair of bent needle nose pliers are very handy. cutting the string to a sharp point also helps (a razor blade will REALLY do the trick on this)
