Hyper G or Tour Bite in hybrid

Hello everyone!
I hope you’re doing fine! I am very pleased with my current string set-ups, Hyper G 18g and Tour bite 18g in my Head Graphene Touch and XT Pros, 48/44 lbs. I find the Hyper G to pocket the ball better compared to Tour bite. To enhance the ball pocketing, my question is, has anyone tried Solinco Hyper G or Tour Bite as main combined with a slick poly crosses, for example RS Lyon? I am open your thoughts. Thanks!

Thanks!
I have had a closer look at Isospeed Cream. It is definately one the strings I want to try out. Head speed pros have a really dense string pattern (which I like) and it makes me use gauges like 18 and even 19.

I always thought TB worked better in a full bed, so I'm going to say Hyper G is the choice for the hybrid main.

I had some partial left-over sets recently so I combined Tour Bite in the mains with Head Sonic Pro in the crosses and I like it a lot. Comfortable, reasonable power, and tons of spin.

Long time tour Bite player, and I had to throw some pro red code in the crosses in a pinch once. It wasn't bad at all. I'd say a little more spin and a higher launch angle versus a whole bed. I love tour Bite crossed with a crisp multi like nxt or vanquish, but I usually don't do that for the sake of durability. I've only ever played a full set of Hyper g, so no comment there.

Tour Bite 18g (1.15mm) is my favorite poly main - been using it for about 3 years now. I love it crossed with Weiss Cannon Mosquito Bite (1.16mm).
56lbs both mains and crosses. Crisp, yet soft, and nasty spin!!

Hyper G seems like it may be better as a main hybrid if you want some more power. TB may chew through a poly cross if you aren't usually a string breaker and don't replace often and is more dead. Hyper G is a pretty slick moving string as well with lots of power so it will really benefit from a slicker cross so that it can impart more spin.

You could try something that also holds tension well like Kirschbaum Max Power (rough) / RS Lyon / Isospeed Cream

Bryan bros use Gut mains / Hyper G 18 crosses. I want to give this one a try, looks like it would be really good considering how Hyper G feels and pockets in full bed. With a slick poly main it may be a very good compromise (lyon/alu power/max power/isospeed or even firewire). A lot of the spin is from string movement so it may be worth looking into this alternative as well :)

Thanks for the all comments. I appreciate it. Hyper G does have an excellent bite on the ball when I use it as main string. My concern mostly is, could I have a slick cross poly enhance the ball pocketing from where I am with Hyper G full bed now? I definately want to try RS Lyon, Cream, Pro Hurricane and Head hawk.
Some of you are using Hyper G or Tour Bite as a cross. How do you feel benefitting from that?

I think Hawk or Hawk Touch are also good candidates that come in very thin gauges to be on the crosses of this hybrid.

If you already know what strings to try as crosses, considering that a single set should be good for two stringings, why don't you just get a set of each cross and two sets of each main? You'll never know what you like the best until you try, and you'll probably be left with some curiosity if you let some of your options out. Besides, everyone's tastes differ: you can see from this thread how many prefer Hyper G as a a main while many others would swear by Tour Bite. It sure takes some time and money (it's 8 whole stringjobs, after all), but in the end that's what tinkering with gear is all about.

I'm starting to sound like @CopolyX now...
