FYI: ultra cable is hands down the greatest edged poly i have ever used. its like HYP G. but feels a little more powerful. so yuo get that boost youre lacking with HYP G.,
trust me. and the color is sway cooler.
for anyone who is a shpaed poly maniac. you must must must must must must try ultra cable 123g.

im sure.. luxilon round is the most pop poly on tour. . whether bborig, alu, m2, 4g, u name it. they are all using it. yes there has been a little bit of a foray to Hyper G and Tour bite, and mostly rpm blast, but believe you me, round are still heavily.. HEAVILY used more.
and again the reason is consistency. in the case of RPM.. that is a rarity. becasuse is actually snaps back perfectly when fresh. its got that gummy elasticity. . but the other edged polys dont. they dont snap back at all. Hyperg g no mater what you do, doesnt snap back at all.. right from the stringer, and it just shifts when pulled. . no snap back. same with the new ultra cable. which i really liked. but no snap back.

for anyone reading this. we need to check out revolve spin. because the snap back ius insane. and if it spins like it says it does. then its a game changer at $10
I won't disagree that round is used way more in the pro tour but most of that is in hybrids. A shaped poly would cut the gut whereas a round wouldn't. For people who go full poly, round isn't necessarily used heavily more.

Delpo uses a hybrid but thats besides the point. That amount of people using round isn't way more than the people using shaped polys tho. Stan rafa isner querrey johnson troicki fognini etc etc. Dont get me wrong im not saying that more people use shaped but once hybrids are taken out of the equation shaped is a lot more common. Especially in lower ranks.

And just an FYI in regards to delpo. He only uses a hybrid. Ow because of his wrist issues. He is an a full bed of Alu at 58lbs given his true choice.

Nkster I went from Hyper G to PP BlackOut and I haven't looked back. I played over the holiday with some current college players, D1 and a top D3 school player and they both were using Hyper G. One hits with big spin with a higher launch angle(grinder) and the other hits flatter(aggressive baseliner) It really comes down to your technique, style and situation. I decided to go with PP BlackOut because the price to performance is amazing. Also with its lower price you can play with fresh poly more often.

I have Hyper-G (1.30mm) and Pro's Pro Blackout (1.28mm) installed in my Pure Strike 100 (2017)... After 2 hours with playitn with Blackout, I find the mains are not snapping back into place when I manually try to snap it back.. but with the Hyper-G.. I have already played at lease 4-6 hours with them and they still snap back into place...

I wanted to go with PP because the price is right but if strings don't snap back as good.. I am thinking to going with Hyper-G pay a lot more but have better playability duration.
