I (am supposed to) hate Zverev due to this forum... why?

I’m not really sick of the sight of him like some local users are, most of the time I make fun of him with others just for the fun of it (it’s sort of become a TTW meme recently). But it’s true that he’s the number one disliked player on my list, I honestly can’t find anything likeable about this dude. Not even a single atom on him that’s likeable.

His game is super boring and robotic. Although he’s arrogant and self-centered I don’t think he’s that much worse than some other players who aren’t being hated for it as much. But that’s not to say he isn’t arrogant. Plus his demenour on court is very annonying and his handshakes at the net used to be WTA-like. And his face is punchable, but that’s not a reason to hate him, only to joke about it.

Tough to hate someone you don't know. I'm no fan of Zverev or watch any of his matches unless it is somewhere important against an important opponent (I'll watch the SF tonight) but I have no problems. The times I've seen him play he hasn't striked me as being arrogant but for those who thinks that you gotta remember he is 20 years old and a top player already.

Zverev reminds me of Rusty when he was winning back in the early 2000s. I couldn't stand the guy. A decade of injury riddled effort and a willingness to continue playing through the pain, showing up day after day, turned me into a Hewitt fan. Maybe I was wrong about him in the first place, and maybe Zverev just needs to demonstrate a little humility to get people on board.

Same here. Also Djokovic was slap worthy in the early days. I came to appreciate him for his tennis

The truth is that this forum is very good at searching for tiniest reasons to hate someone. Other than him having a bit more arrogance than most of his competitors, I don't mind Sascha Zverev at all.

We can’t all be as rational as you.

Zverev is a natural villain in my eyes, it’s fun to root against him. Makes his boring matches more interesting.

Kellerman was a true MB (magnificent b@stard) in his season one peak. He evolved and redeemed himself but I felt myself longing for some of that season 1 evil stuff. Was sad to see him go. This is still my goat moment. Second goat moment is when Kellerman shoots Mahone at the midpoint of season 2 .

Update: My employer has found out that I visited Zverev's facebook page. They have deduced I may like Zverev as a result. I have been fired from work and I am now unemployable. Men in uniforms raided my house. My wife and kids have been taken for questioning incase they also share their father/husbands views of possibly liking Zverev. I begged them to let my kids go at least. They can't be punished for their fathers thought crime. I tried to protest my innocene, I dont really like Zverev I was just curious what his facebook page was like. After 23 hours of consecutive beatings I signed a forced confession stating that I liked Zverev. My fate will be decided by public trial tomorrow. I was given a lawyer to defend me. Initially I was pleased but have since learned that the lawyer provided to me is actually a cat called felix.

That pos walked around shaking his head like AA and talking to himself constantly as if the player on the other side had nothing to do with it long before he had a sniff at a Major. But I'm savvy enough to know (like you) that he will win majors in this bizarrely weak era, so I have to stop hatin' on him and just accept him as somewhat inevitable. Are you high or something? The younger DP was a workhorse and had Fedalovic in his way to stardom (?). He got lazy after the 2010 injury. Zvepush is a diva and he's feasting on one the weakest fields ever. Any comparation between those two is laughable. You can't do anything against faulty genetics
