I can fly!! I can see the BALL!!!

I found that recently i've been hitting my returns harder and harder and half the time both my feet are starting to leave the ground. I get read to swing and i push off my right foot (i'm right handed) as i swing into the ball and my waist upper body rotates with my hitting arm that even my left foot raises off the floor. So with my split stepping it's like i'm floating most of the time. Is that a good thing even though i'm putting all that power behind the balls? People have always told my peers to stay grounded and stop jumping around.

Another thing is that i'm getting very comfortable with my swings that i begin to pay more and more attention to the ball. I watch my opponent hit the ball, I pay attention to how the ball spins all the way to contact with my racquet and i watch it fly over the net to the other side and see how much side spin (right to left) i put on it from the lines on the tennis balls.

Is this normal? or am i turning into spiderman?

Probably very good technique for returning slice or flat serves, but a kicker may surprise you a few times, and those you should keep grounded on.
