i don't get nike, i mean i guess no one gets nike lol. why are they having federer wear all out special federer gear that no one can buy in stores at one of the biggest tennis events of the year. he was playing infront of thousands of people, in new york non the less, and the match was televised. and on top of that why would nike have in play in all black. he already had that look at the 2007 us open, why would they show the same crowd the same look? doesn't make sense. also y can't they throw some money sampras' way. at least give him a pair of the current nike shoes let a lone a new shirt/shorts. this was a huge marketing opportunity and they completely blew it. honestly nike...what are you thinking?

i think that the producers of the netjets thing wanted a whole star wars theme, thats why fed came out in all black and the darth vader breathing with the menacing music, while pete came out in all white with the theme.

false. vapor 3's as already stated. I read somewhere that the vapor 3 was based on the oscillate and pete had a say in it, which makes sense as to why he is wearing them (and maybe why roger never switched to them) at least they gave roger blacked out v5's as opposed to the v4's from USO07

I hate that he wears low socks now. He should've work something that he used to wear as I'm sure he has plenty of stock that are still good or that he never touched. He should've worn HIS nike's that were made strictly for him (he wore them from USO 97 - end of the year).

Oh, Cindy. . . there was an era, while I was yet in my youth, when we really had it all . . . low white socks and tennis short shorts. The women LOVED it!

I swear to God, the only time I've ever been complimented on my hairy legs has been when I was wearing those tennis short shorts. Just for my ego, it would be nice to see them make the fashion comeback!

Ankle socks work with certain looks. They aren't for everyone (especially not the boring types).

Personally, I wear both. With a low cut shoe (like the Vapors) I wear ankle socks but with my Cages I wear black crews.

Hmmmm....maybe the same guys that wear ankle socks also put on the stiletto heels and panty hose when they get dressed up at night to make their legs look nice and long and smooth? :lol: LOL

Great thread! I think about the only time I pushed my crew socks down was to help out my tan line situation. . . later in the summer, when you really notice the difference.

I still think chicks think tennis shorts are attractive on men, and especially if they're short, not like NBA basketball swishy short/pants.
