I feel bad for Monfils. Having to carry those two other clowns

Gasquet and Tsonga are just so useless and couldn't carry their own weight. Monfils was the only player worth a damn

Yet you most likely called Monfils a clown when he couldn't close out Federer at the USO.

It's clear that you're not feeling sorry for Monfils.

You're just obsessed with Federer ;)

He did. Just look at my previous post. In fact his exact words were "career nobody loser clown." I wonder if 90's clay can tell us the difference between that and a "regular" clown. He must know something about them. He throws the word around enough.

Federer > Sampras on all surfaces.

But honestly, I am starting to feel bad for 90's.
Considering the number of threads he has been creating, he is obviously affected by Federer's success on some deep emotional level.

It can only be a matter of time until he makes another thread saying how Fed can't be GOAT due to Nadal owning him and winning all his Slams against much tougher competition.

Don't worry, I'm sure you can celebrate Nadal's success in DC next year. They've already got a bye for the first round.

... unless he's too masculine to play under his new captainette.

Yeah, I'm glad Monfils sort of saved the French's honor in that one. He played an amazing match.
Too bad Tsonga was injured. I wouldn't put Gasquet and Tsonga on the same level though. Tsonga did what he could. Wawa was just the better player. Gasquet OTOH has been a headcase his entire career, that's why he never lived up to expectations.

That and Gasquet just doesn't have a forehand. His talent has always been way overhyped. How on earth can you be a big champion without a forehand????

His game works well on grass (or at least did in the past). Currently, he's at an all time low. Seriously they should have picked Benneteau. As little hope as that would have carried, it was still a better option than current Gasquet. Oh well.

ETA: I will choose to forget that painful fiasco and remember the glorious effort put in by Monfils. That one was a clinic :)

And Monfils hasn't been a head case? Has Monfils lived up to his expectations from his junior years? No, not even close.

Monfils beat Federer on Friday, that's all that counts for her.
Too bad it was in vain because Switzerland won the title. That is all that matters. Nobody will care about that Monfils win vs a Federer who had not acclimated to the clay surface yet after a back issue.

Isner also beat Fed in DC rubber.

Would be interesting to see how that plays out given the comments of Nadal and his Unka.

Will he make himself available for selection?

It takes one to know one...XC's Terre de Battue continues to entertain us all with his role of forum clown. He is the Ronald McDonald of TTW...so much food for ridicule!
