I get a feeling Hurkacz in a potential Qf on Ashe against Djokovic could be a tricky Match.

Hurkacz I think can reach quarters at Us open, his draw seems decent for a run and Berrettini currently is very unpredictable. So in a potential Qf with djokovic I predict it to be a very close match. If Ashe is playing fast as speculated then hurkacz game can catch fire with his big serve game, also he isn't fazed by a big opponent as evident by his display at Wimbledon so I back him to make quarters to meet Djokovic and then predict it's going to be one of the matches of the tournament

At the risk of coming off as flippant, why wouldn't it be a tricky match? Hurkacz is a fringe top-10 player with a great serve, solid firepower off the ground, and skills at net. I wouldn't expect Novak to beat him easily unless Novak is playing his very best tennis.

I am a Novak fan and i would love him to win CGS but i just have feeling it is not going to happen.

I have a sneaky feeling he will survive a real scare in 2nd or 3rd round and scrape through. Then i have feeling he might lose in Q/F for some reason.

I hope i am wrong and if Novak does reach S/F then i think he may well be unstoppable as he will be so in the zone at that point.

Zverev SF followed by Medvedev or Tsitsipas Final is winnable for our Djok, but will be difficult.

Better that one of those are knocked out early, which is very possible.

Hurkacz would be dangerous if USO was played in FL. The guy is 10-0 in The Sunshine State with two titles and also a perfect 5-0 in TBs there. Outside FL in 2021 he is a mediocre 7-6 on HC and has been decidedly unclutch with a 1-6 TB record. Even before a potential 4R meeting with Berry, Hubi will need to bear down vs Gerasimov, Fucsovics and Sonego. Neither 2R or 3R opponent is an easy out on HC.

Still, out of all the potential 4th round meetings you could have on hard courts, Berry's name is a fairly welcome sight.

There’s a pretty good chance that Djokovic’s QF opponent will be Hubie Hurkacz and that might not be an easy match.
Knowing Djokovic can’t sustain his level anymore for seven matches in a row throughout a match to dominate like he used to do, I think he will have at least 2 five-setters even if he wins the USO. There’s a good chance that one of them will be in the quarterfinal against Hubie or Matteo, the other should be in the semi or final.

He has nothing to trouble him.

Unlike Tsisipas, Zverev and a few others, Hurkarcz has nothing that can bother Djokovic. Even if Hurkarcz gets in 1st serves, he's at the mercy of Djokovic's return game.

I think Djokovic is gonna win again by outwilling his opponents. He knows that these guys don't have what it takes to beat him over 5 sets.Still, this is the USO and he is known for screwing his chances here so many times, so nothing is set in stone :D

So, why did he win a set off of Djokovic at Wimbledon even before he won Miami (and reached the Wimbledon semis). Personally, I think he could have made a better match of it than Berrettini.

Hurkacz needs to get consistent first to be a threat. He’s got a very high ceiling but the floor is low too. Even if he won, he’s not consistent enough to play Novak in 4-5 sets.
